[1882-20081205] Tap. Mild fruitiness in the aroma, not much there. Slightly hazy, light orange brown body with no head. Lots of heavy malt and yeast flavour but has a fruity lightness overall. Medium-full body. Nice and fruity.

A very flavorful grand cru. There is quite a mix of flavors here from dark fruits to bitter spices. It is almost over the top and finishes very strong.

Draft… Cloudy golden ale with orange highlights and a small, creamy, white head. Fantastic retention. Fruity, breadsy, very spicy aroma provides notes of orange peel, clove and coriander. Full-bodied and lightly creamy with lively carbonation. Moderately sweet, spicy, yeasty flavor. Watery finish.

On tap at Coles, Buffalo. Appearance, blonde-orange with a small almost non existent head. Aroma: Grassy hops with some yeast and citrus. Flavour: Wheat, fruity and grassy. Hmm.

On tap at Coles
Appearance: Amber , cloudy orange ale with light creamy top.
Nose: Light , sweet caramel nose. Faint hint of hops, mineral feel with faint yard like touches. Spiced finish.
Flavor/Palate : Medium bodied. Malty walls with citric , slightly sour intum. Plums, yams, fruity feel. Different, interesting to some concept. To me was lacking direction as to what wanted to accomplish.

FROTHINGSLOSH (3386) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 30, 2008
Sampled on draft at Zeno’s in State College PA this beer poured a dark golden color with a small yellow-white head that faded quickly. The aroma was tangy, lightly sweet and lightly yeasty. The flavor was rather faint but had elements of tangy malts, yeastiness and a touch of light fruits and cane sugar. The finish was short and sweetish. Overall bland and uninspired.

On tap at Stirling Hotel. Cloudy orange with small head. Aroma is fruit and sugar and minor funk. Thicker and harder to drink that it looks. Taste was yeast and citrus and sugar. Taste was confusing and not well balanced. It was under carbonated as well. Never again.

Tap at Ginger Man. Aroma of tangy fruits, rubber, alcohol, flowers. Flavor of bitter fruits and melon rind. Mouthfeel of an overly aggressive, unrefined tripel, sort of a touch syrupy and a touch watery at the same time. Yikes.

On tap at the Gingerman. Pours a light yellow orange with a small white head. Aroma is pretty faint but predominately honey. Flavor of Belgian yeast, honey and other fruitiness, very odd tasting. Thick and syrupy texture, almost like a mead. Couldn’t finish the glass. This is an odd, strong, sticky, heavy beer and I did not care for it.
