3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
fairly clean aroma. hard to pull much out of it, some mild spiciness and mild malt notes. absolutely gorgeous, clear, dark "dr. pepper colored" rich garnet red hued color with a healthy white head. very chewy, hearty body, with a dry, peppery quality. serious malt backbone, but also an assertive bitter hop bite. the hops and malt battle on the tongue till the end. there’s a masked roastiness in the flavor.
