COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

Clear dark orange color, small white head. Not a very nice smell. Very standard and actually pretty poor, expected better from this brewery.

Deep amber gold with a thin white head. Aromas of stemmy and lightly floral hops, caramel malts and a hint of flinty minerality. A bit of sweaty vegetal info there too. Flavour carries the hops nicely upfront, some chewy caramel/bready notes in the middle and a clean, moderately bitter finish. All in all a tasty and sessionable lager.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Dark amber pour with a small white head. Sweet floral and citrus noes accompanied by caramel malts on the nose. Light caramel, toasted biscuit and floral hops in the taste. Great lager

Pours dark amber with a large, fading head. Nose shows lots of sweet malt and caramel characters with some floral notes showing as well. More rich malty notes as flavours, some soft spicy hops are also noticeable along with a little booze. Could use more carbonation.

Bottle in Brookyln. Not too bad. A bit hoppy. But nothing too special or interesting.

Pours a dark brown amber with a large frothy tan head. Coffee and caramel malt, with some aroma of leaves. Some floral hops and soy sauce aroma as well. Strong malt flavor with a light hop bite at end. This is a flavorful and drinkable lager. Very good.

Clear amber/copper with white head. Taste is hops, light bread and carmel malt. Light bodied. An okay session beer.
