COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

Amber colored pour. Slightly caramel malty flavor and very light hops make a very drinkable easy drinker. Nothing great but not bad either.

No aroma, at least out of this tiny little ass solo cup I gotto sample this brew with. It’s not a good sign when I drink some and wait for the flavor. It eventually hits, light caramel malts, sweetish. Better than the summer ale.

Amber red pour, white head with low retention. Aroma is sweet malt, fruit and some bitter hops. Flavor matches aroma. Not at all bad given that they call it a lager. (Rated 2011/04/24)

Golden, clear, sparkling body. Floral aroma with pine and citrus and some faint berries. Light to medium bitterness. Above average lager.

Upon opening, there is a slight sewer smell. Not the most appealing. Taste is fairly generic, but there are some nice notes of fruit in there.

I’ve had this many times, I can’t believe I’m just now getting around to reviewing it. Pours a deep dark golden almost red color with a two finger fluffy white head that sticks around forever before impaling itself to the edges of my glass. Smell is very floral with a hint of citrus. Sweet malts, a little bread, a little caramel round out the nose. Taste is a little odd for a lager. Sweet up front, caramel and floral hops play off of each other nicely, then a slight mineral taste followed a dry hoppy finish. Medium carbonation, light to medium body, smooth almost creamy mouthfeel. This a great light easy drinking lager.

Bottle. Amber color, medium white head. Malty aroma with some fruit, strong hops for a lager. Taste is bitter with some fruit and a bit sour.
