Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

Pours a honey to amber colur with a large white frothy white head. Aroma is HOPPY, citrus hops, floral hops with an outline bread and caramel malts. Initial taste is bready malts with an outpowering bitter citrus hops. Bitter hops linger on the palate with a mix of spices and other dark fruits. Good lacing of the glass with a decent head retention. Active carbonation that was perfectly matched.

Pours a ruby color, with a mild malty aroma. With a hint of hops and soap smell. Above average overall, not a big lager fan, one of the better lagers I’ve had though. Worth a try.

Aroma is a spicy, flowery scent at first, a bready malt characteristic , and a smokey roasted nut note on top of it all. Appearance is a semi-translucent reddish/amber color with a medium sized tan head that diminishes into a soapy tan film. Taste is nice malt overtones, with a bit of really bready overtone, a nice medium to robust lager that is really exciting my taste buds. Palate is lightly bitter with a lingering bitterness that fades over time. Overall, A darn good lager in my opinion. Cheers!!

Good lager, cloudy coppy colored, which I thought was interesting. Good lager, but Yueng is still king in my book. Bluengalingalang, that’s what I say.

Pours a clear amber with a tiny white head and not much lacing. The scent was a good balance of hops, malt, floral notes and citrus. A little thin on palate, but not a bad beer for a bbq. A good enough session brew.
