Basically I found this one to be citrussy hops on bland malt. Clear orange with a white lasting head. Hoppy aroma and flavor, and what seams to be Cascades???. It is smooth and clean, but not really my thing.

This is a fantastic beer. Brooklyn’s best, and that’s saying something. Quite possibly the best lager brewed in the United States

35.5 cl bottle. Served in DBF 2004 sample glass. Dark gold. OK head. Fresh, hoppy aroma. The taste is dry and hoppy with a slight fruitiness. Easy to drink.

You know what, For a lager, this is a pretty decent beer. I had this after waiting over 20 minutes at a local pub to get the barmaids attention. Though nothing would be worth that wait, it was a pleasant surprise. Great way to spend the last day of summer classes. No sleep til....BROOKLYN.

This one was excellent! Pours dark straw with a medium, creamy, off-white head. Aroma of malt, corn flakes, hops, and slight fruit and honey. The tastes hits the papillae with layers of malt, fruit, honey, and a slightly dry, earthy finish. This is a rock solid lager. If Bluebeard had this stuff at sea, he might not have killed so many hookers.

Amber colored with little head and a hoppy aroma. Not a bad flavor for a lager, the hops are there, as well. A decent beer for the style.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: NOV 19, 2008 Third attempt at rating. First one I was out to lunch. Second improved after a pint at the map room. Read "Beer School" and had to re-visit. Lasting fair head with a bit of lacing. Dark amber. Don’t get a lot of aroma but this is a nice aggressive hopped beer. Tasty dark caramel malt with a peppery finish and after taste.

Lighter amber color, white head. Nice hop prescence, a little bit of bread. Flavor is a little malty, followed by a decent amount of hops. While nice, the hops left an odd astringent taste on my tongue. Medium bodied. Overall a nice beer to be given the dubious task of carrying the ’lager’ title for the brewery.

One of my all-time favorite beers. Just this right rush of spice on the tips of the surface, jumping up at your tounge. Good brown-gold color. What else to say but I love it, and that flavor is unforgettable as you go through a night of well-wearing drinking at the bar after a long (insert: week, day, hour).
