Pours amber in color with a frothy tan head that leaves plenty of lacing. Smells and tastes mildly of hops, caramel, and faitn red apples. Fair. lagaffe74 (16), Louisiana, USA

I tried both their Brown and Black before thanks to a friend of mine but I can now try this one at home.I used the Brooklyn Pokal that I had. Beautiful amber color with a rich creamy head. The nose is all flowery hops. Very inviting. The palate reveals some hop flavors and some fruits - a bit of citrus - and finishes with a touch of spice. Well-rounded, you can taste the use of the malts to balance it all. Finishes on a little dry note. I do not remember when drinking a lager was such an enjoyable experience!! Pours a beautiful copper gold with a creamy white head that sticks around, nice. Biting flowery hop nose, with a dry malt hint, nice. Flavourful malt with a meaty floral hop, with dashes of spice and fruit. Nice bitter finish. Like the first time I had a Creemore, this is a pleasant reminder that lagers can be a beautiful thing. italianjohn (403), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA

It had a slight bitterness and a little watery. A good brew for 5.2% I’d do this one again KingofCastle (202), London, Ontario, Canada

It has that sharp almost apple taste. Feels more like an IPA it is so bitter. I wish this had more malts or sweetness to round out the finish. Give me a Headstrong any day. However, this is a beer you can really settle into with some spicy food. It will stand up against some serious flavour. satan165 (620), River Grove, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 9, 2009 aroma of floral, clean hops with light cereal background. appearance is vibrant rust. flavor is of flowery hops, just bitter enough to dance on the tongue and end clean and dry, and quite quickly. a clean, refreshing beer that does more then the bare minimum that so many others are happy with, this is hopped as well as a pale ale, a bit of a departure for this style. yet, as crisp as it is, a slightly sticky note comes to light at the very end and the malt shines through. what balance! yobdoog (1543), Woodridge NY, New York, USA

I feel it has changed and for the worse. Used to have a nice creamy mouthfeel and nice caramel malts with a hop essence to balance it out. Used to be great. Oh squiggly line, in my eye fluid.
I see you there, lurking on the periphery of my vision.
But when I try to look at you, you scurry away.
Are you shy, squiggly line?
Why only when I ignore you, do you return to the centre of my eye?
Oh squiggly line, it’s alright, you are forgiven.
