3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tasted at the Barrelhouse Brewing Company Microbrew Fest on November 9. Honey-colored with with a minimal head. Dry hops flavor with a decent finish. Not on the same scale as the Black Chocolate Stout but decent nonetheless.

Nice ruby colour, most un-lager like! This is the best ’lager’ I have ever had. Mainly because it is an IPA. Similar, but not as good as, Worthington White Shield.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: FEB 14, 2006 Fruity, almost bitter ale aroma. Shockingly amber colored. Clingy foam. Super hoppy. Tangy with an excellent balance. Hearty palate with long finish. More!

One of the better known lagers made in the United States. I could drink this beer many times over. Smooth and great flavor.

This stuff is pretty kick-ass. Well balanced, dry, hoppy, delicious. One of my favorite lagers. Mad props, yo.

I bought this beer cheap at the local servo when I was visiting my mate’s house to make sausages. Basically it was nice and cold, but nothing flashy: just a good honest beer with hints of petrol and jack-hammer fluid. There was also a hint of tar to keep you rev heads out there interested. Plenty of upholstery in the finish, well hopped and palate fresh like Judas in a Valiant. Peace.

Picked this one up for less than six for a six and was absolutly amazed at the quality of this beer. With expectations of macro-swill this stuf came straight out of the bottle suprising me with a dark amber brown color and a medium but lasting white head. Taste has a hop overtone with the maltiness hidden in the back teasing. I will buy this again anda I will be buying some for all of my friends.

What’s the deal with this beer - it’s hopped to all hell and is nothing like a typical vienna. It should be called an Imperial Vienna.

A beer with a good quality taste. I tried it in New YOrk and was pleased with the quality.
