3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: AUG 15, 2007 Little one finger head appears on top of a light copper body. Floral tones highlighted by notes of toffee, mild hops and malts, spices are evident too. Very refreshing taste yields to more aggressive spiciness and grassy hops. Finish is very clean. Very well done and quaffable Vienna.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
It starts with an amber pour, and a good head that slowly diminishes. The aroma is a thin one, just a hint of bitterness and astringincy. Has a citrus, slightly bitter taste, with a thin palate. This is a beer that exceeded my expectations, and has the hints of a great session ale.

This has caught me by surprise, a nut brown lager with a lingering hoppy taste characteristic of an English ale.

I’ve got to say, this is a tastey beer. Seeing it anywhere and everywhere I went in NYC I was half expecting it to be weak and watered down ... what a plesent suprise!
Had a nice lagar-esque flavor but with both malts and hops. Which is wierd becaus eI often think of lager as beeing rather tasteless. Hops are what make this beer good.
