Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

Bottle/draft. Good broadly availiable lager in NYC area. Pours amber with a little head. Has a nice hop flavor. Good bar beer and very drinkable.

12 oz bottle. Decent for a lager. Not too much corn flavor. Citrusy lemon on the aromas and flavors. Crisp and refreshing. Not to shabby

bottle. a really nice lager from Brooklyn Brewery... one of the best lagers I have had to date. pours a deep golden with a bit of white head. nice flowery hop aroma. very lively on the tip and top of the tongue with carbonation, hops and some malt. a very nice mix of hops and malts. medium body which finishes with a good bitter crispness.

Draft at Hungry Brain in Chicago. I just thought this could be good, but all I could smell were cheetos and all I could taste was sour cream and onion Ruffles. Not good. It looks okay, though, pouring a nice gold color with almost no head. But I just couldnt get past the cheese. Bad.

330ml bottle from the LCBO The aroma is malty and sweet Pours a nice orangy cooper with a big white long lasting head and lots of lacing The taste is more like an IPA than a lager very clean crisp and refreshing One of the best lagers I have had will be getting more

Bottle from The Ducie, Manchester. Reddish-brown in colour with slightly off-white head. Citrus hop aroma with biscuit malts. Very floral taste with spicy characteristics and a bitter finish. Perhaps a bit too lively carbonation. In looks and character this is a close cousin to a flavoursome English bitter. Reading other reviews it would seem this is a different colour the world over. Odd, eh?

Draft in Florida. Toasted lemon-honey malts. yum. Touch watery but with good weight. Very tasty but not very large or unusual.
