COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

Highly drinkable, full flavored lager with a sturdy malt backbone and pleasant well bitter hop finish.

Amber color, pungent aroma, grainy taste (maybe 2-row malt), i really like this beer for the balance between hops and malt, one of those true balanced beer, with the refreshing qualities of the lager style too.

This quite a surprising lager as it was quite tasty, it wasnt too sharp or bitter and it wasnt overly carbonated. It was quite smooth and drinkable. Not really any lacing with small amounts of white head in the typical lager yellow. Bottle at thomas Ingoldsby spoons Canterbury.

Bottle. Moderate hazy, amber body, with a medium, frothy, slightly beige head. Aroma of roast, bread, grains, flowers, some fruits like peach, red berries and citrus. Taste with the same aromas, but with the fruit notes more present and also some herbs. Mouthfeel is light, slick, with a lively carbonation and it finishes bitter, roasty and slightly fruity. OK. The balance between hops and malts is good, but overall pretty light bodied and I’m missing some character. I’ve had better Vienna style lagers.

35.5cl bottle poured into a tulip glass. Poured with a thick white head. Nice amber colour. Light hops, pine, malt. Little bitterness in the aftertaste.

Flaska från systembolaget. Klassisk lagersmak men med betydligt mer humle än dussinvarianten. Lite lite torr smak också, samt lite citrus. Känns fräsch och uppfriskande. Helt klart en ny favorit bland lagerölen!

The classic Brooklyn you can find: good to drink but anonymous, just a little bit hoppy and floeral, with a short malty taste.

From12 oz bottle. Clear amber with small white head. Clean classic lager aroma with hint of biscuit. Refreshing on the palate with medium/high carbonation. Nice balance of sweet and bitter with some hoppy hints. Medium finish, quite dry at end. Clean, refreshing - classic, almost German taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hoppy aroma, more than the usual lagers, surely dry-hopped. Some discreet citric and herbal notes remind me an IPA but in a more elegant way. Not explosively fruity as I expect from a lager. Noticeable balance between the aromas and tastes which makes you desire one more bottle. Drinkable without being watery, light bodied, classy, a real good one!
