COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

Clear golden, white foam. Aroma has some pine and malt. A balanced lager with a full body. An ok lager.

I don't usually drink lager but was pleasantly surprised by this!! Seems a bit expensive locally however.

Bottle, 355mL. Home. A clear brown amber beer with a large white thin head. Medium persistence. Floral and fruity aroma (blackcurrant). Nose is more intense than the mouth. Herbs, smoke, a bit acid. Medium bitter. Medium body and texture. Lasting bitter finish. Overall, a good floral amber lager. I first drank this beer last november during ING New York’s marathon :)

Amber color, white head. Caramel malt nose, fruity with hints of grapefruit and peach. Hoppy taste with notes of fruits and resin, hints of berries and grass. Moderate bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Nice!

Bottle. Smell is sweet and floral. Pours dark yellow, with a slightly off white head that fades to the edges, and lacing with a little oil in the middle. Taste is about what you should expect from a lager, but the aroma comes through with a hoppy vibe alongside it. This is a great example of a good beer.

The aroma has some hoppy notes to it, and the taste is nice and smooth, slight bitterness and a mild rush of carbonation at first sip, then it mellows out by the swallow. I get a lingering hop aftertaste, but nothing overpowering.

12 fl oz bottle poured into Pilsner glass. Appears light amber with a finger of white head. Has a nice slight hop aroma, fruity. The taste is bitter than turns into a biscuity, malt backbone. The palate is thin and it's crisp, refreshing! Definitely great for the warmer weather! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

BLADT (214) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - MAR 10, 2014
From tap. Pours clean amber in glass. A solid finger of off-white head. Aroma is floral hops up front (nothing overpowering) and caramel at the back. Medium body and carbonation. Taste is dry, with hop bitterness (again, nothing too out there) and biscuit malts. Nice mouth feel. Sticks to the gums.

Good average beer that has a very appealing colour to it with a good frothy head. A good all day drinker
