Copper orange colour, with a decent tan head. A lot of flavour for a "lager" , very drinkable. Would wash a burger down fantastically well. Decent off the supermarket shelf beer.

Clear orange, medium white head with some retention. Malty nose with caramel and fruit hints, hops. Flavor is fruity, malty, caramel, grassy notes, some perfumey characteristics. Hops in the finish, along with some more sweetness. Watery to medium body, oily texture, fairly smooth carbonation.

Bottle, poured into pilsner glass. Beautiful. Copper, middling white head which stays there forever, super lacy. Fruity caramel aroma. Canít decide where the fruit aromas are coming from, they seem too smooth to be citrus, but itís leaning towards orange. Big, smooth hop thump on first taste, which stays just as round to the end - not sharp at all. A lot of flavour for something so easy drinking. Medium bodied. Superb.

From draught. Clear, pale amber. Thick off-white head. Aroma of American hops, lime and pine. Similar, refreshing taste. A bit waterish mouthfeel. Medium long, balanced bitter aftertaste.

Firstly I would mention that I find Brooklyn VASTLY superior on tap than out of the bottle. Iím rating the tap version here. The beer pours a beautiful, rich brown/red with a great, fluffy head. Taste is very malty but thereís a lingering taste of orange and a sharpness from the hops that counters it nicely. I donít know why but I find the bottled version to have a lot less flavour and complexity.

Rich, malty American lager - thicker and fuller tasting than most lagers. Perfect beer for an autumn day 28/01/14

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2014 A respectable all-around lager, not all that sophisticated but itís a straightforward drinkable brew. Malty aroma and lighter amber color, appetizing lacing. I think I finally really know what biscuit malt tastes like now thanks to this brew. Good flavor balanced by some bitter hops that occasionally reveal some floral notes. Savory maltiness is the highlight, coupled with a cool finish. Medium-bodied with good carbonation, but occasionally seems a bit watery. At any rate quite enjoyable, hard to find in some locales but a fine example of the style.

Perfekt lager.
