COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2010 Had a very nice amber colour but not much head. Hoppy flavor that went down very well. Had it some time ago and can’t remember the finer details of this beer. I do remember that it tasted good though.

hazy copper pour, minimal head. Aroma of citrus hops, lots of orange peel, a little bit of both sweetness and floral notes as well. Flavor is pretty grainy, and taste of sulfur, not really what i expected. Very dry bitter hops. Little metallic flavor to me. Not undrinkable but not a favorite of mine.

nice and hoppy with a mild malty biscuit sweetness in the middle. Really crisp and clean flavor. Smell is hoppy but also a little like melon candy - overall though, not fruity. Very straightforward, very good. Better than all other low alcohol hoppy beers I’ve had, and way way better than all low alcohol lagers Got this because it was a lager in a can, and I had heard that Brooklyn made good beer - but I thought that it would still suck - cuz damn, its a lager in a can. But it is good. I could drink many of these.

Quite an enjoyable beer a nice smooth malty sweetness with a tingling of hops on the palate, a very drinkable beer.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2010 Having Brooklyn really tured me into a big fan of the vienna lager style..toasted malts, grains, caramel with floral hops come through, a great tasting lager thats very drinkable and not overdone..could use a touch more toast and hops but otherwise very nice....

Bottle from longshot - thanks Mark!. Crystal clear amber with a large puffy taupe topper that leaves craters o’ lace along the glass. Aroma of toasted malt, mild citrus, cereal grains and floral hops. Taste of floral hops, mild sweet malt, herbal hops light honey and a hint of sulfur. Minor bitterness on the finish. Doesn’t remind me of the other vienna’s I’ve had.
