COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

Has a golden color. Aroma is of malts and citrusy hops. I can pick up some type of lemon and yeast in the undertones. Taste is of hops and malts with some spices. Has a little bit of a bite. A good session beer.

man I love good beer from a can, and this is a damn good one! I found that i kept smelling this over and over, it really just grabbed my attention. It has a great blend of malts and hops. Well rounded brew and I suggest getting the canned version if possible.

Really good beer. I’m never disappointed. Got some good hops going on, overall this is one of my favorite lagers

clear gold, fluffy white head, good lace. nice balance of sweet malts, and mild hoppiness in the nose (my notes say good smell!). flavor follows the nose with a sweet malt start, followed by a hoppy bitterness. light body, nice bitter finish. i didn’t expect to enjoy this one much, but i was reallty surprised. a good sessionable beer (i had more than one). i had several bottles of this at the bar in the newark airport rennaisance hotel.

Little detectable aroma aside from some faint yeast. Clear golden with a thin head. Crisp and pleasantly bitter.

Bottle pour...lager glass. This beer is good. Aroma was full, nice, almost sweet, but roasted malt goodness to it. The pour was smooth, nice, with a darker tinged head that laced to the side of the glass as I finished it. Crisp, full body and flavor, with some hops bitterness that seems just right for this beer. Overall, a very good brew. I think I will have a glass Sunday night with our spicy, Greek marinated, bbq’d chicken.

Draft. Pours clear amber with a frothy off-white head that hangs around for the ride. Malt, grain, hops, and citrus in the aroma. More flavor than you’ll get from just about anything else with "Lager" on the label, with some enjoyably mild bitterness to the hops. More body than expected, too, and nice smoothness. Just a very good lager that beats the hell out of most of its peers.
