3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear amber with a thin white head and some lacing. Aromas of caramel malt, bread dough, nuts and sweet citrus hops. A slight sweetness works through caramel malts, bread and nuts but a grassy hop flavour comes through at the end without any particularly strong bitter notes. The beer is well balanced though and begs you to drink in multiples. Another beer that highlights a major hole in the Australian market - lagers with flavour. I don't know why decent brewers can't do these styles which are perfect for our climate? Not hipster enough I suspect because they're not "hop monsters".

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear amber with a medium, off white head. Aroma leans towards maltiness, with caramel, cereal, and bread, which are balanced well with grassy hops. The taste is sweeter. It contains orange, honey, slight lemon, bread, and grass. There is a bit of an herbal flavor in here. Aftertaste is orange and honey. Light in body, chewy in texture, with average carbonation. This one is very easy to drink. Also pretty refreshing I must say. I like this.

Bottle from Waitrose. I’ve had this a million (possibly a few less, in reality) times, but now I need to think about it, to review it, I realise how good it actually is.
