COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

Off tap at the victoria birmingham. Absolutely no aroma. Dark malts for a lager and only lightly carbonated. Not bad, quite nice for the style.

Pours light amber with a light tan head. Nice hops and malts. Goes down very smooth. Very drinkable.

Poured from a bottle into a footed pilsner glass. Appearance is a hazy copper to amber color with a large, dense head of white foam. Lacing appears in rings with webs of splotchy lacing in between. Aroma is slightly bitter and sweet with a floral and lemon combination. Taste is toasty and grainy with a light hop bite toward the end. Finish is rather abrupt and dry. Of my Brooklyn Party Mixed Pack, I think this one is the stand out.

Bottle: nice dark yellow color with a white head. Aromas are sweet malty with a bit of toasty notes. The flavor is a delight with a well balanced flavor of malt that is balanced with a perfect amount of bitterness to even it out. This has become one of my new favorite lagers. Great stuff!

Slightly nutty slightly fruity aroma. Hoppy bitter taste. Average lager for me.

Nice amber color with rather good head. Has flowers and citrus, or cascade, on nose. Taste has also citrus, with some bready malt combining to notes of caramel and slightly piney to herbal hops. Good, crisp bitter ending. Very good for vienna, like pale-ale with lager yeast. refreshing.
