Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

Pours a translucent brown with medium white head. Aroma is some malt, wheat, vague hop.. Not much there. Taste is sweet malt, slight tang, caramel. Nice drinkable lager.

Bottle pour into a Shaker. Deep Orange/Copper color one inch white head. Not much aroma to speak of for me. Nicely balanced a touch of hops flavor. I get a little yeasty, hay flavor. Straightforward beer easy to drink probably one the best examples of a lager. Nothing too exciting though. Would pair easily with food.

Bue en bouteille de 355ml. Assez déçu par cette bière un peu trop amère à mon goût. Arômes floraux, assez sèche en bouche. Pas terrible.

Pours out a clear amber colored contents with a medium white frothy head that has a pretty decent retention. The mild, sweet roasted aroma is complemented by some caramel and a slight yeasty smell. Starts sweet and fruity, followed by some yeastiness and bready feel in the body, plus some roasted feel, finishing with a nice hoppy bitterness.

Reviewed from notes. Consumed in a pint glass, a pilsener and a nonic, nothing changed. The appearance was a light orange/yellow colored body, one finger white head that died within ten seconds. No rings, no lacing, no carbonation rising. The smell was overly floral with the malts coming in and out at odd times. The taste was overly floral again, not getting into this On the palate, it sat about a light to medium. It was mostly drinkable. Overall, as many times as I had this and kept trying to give it a chance, I couldn’t get into this. Gimme a Sam Adams over this any day!

Bottle @ Beehive, Gatwick Airport. Pours slightly more golden than your average Vienna. Plentiful carbonation. Nice scent, tropical fruit hop rising above a steady malt base. Taste is bittersweet, not very exciting but very refreshing. A good beer from a decent Stateside brewer.

One of the better lagers I have had. Really malty an and bitter. Not as hoppy as I would like. Had this one at American junkie. Pours orange in Color ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Light hazy copper/orange with a large frothy good lacing off white head. Looks lively with high effervescence. Great looking beer. Citrus hoppy nose. Flavour is light/malty (grain, bread) and hoppy (citrus, herbal). Light/medium body, low sweetness, medium bitter, light acidic, soft/medium carbonation. Texture is a bit thin, but some bitterness kicks in leaving a long dry and light bitter finish.
