COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

Healthy aroma of pine and citrus. Very orange and cloudy with good head. Taste of pine and sweet orange with a slightly bitter finish. Palate is medium body with good carbonation. Overall, this is a very refreshing lager, orange in both color and taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Guy at Jasper’s in Nashua recommended this as complementary to Sam Adams Lager. Doesn’t quite measure. A little hoppier than I like, and seemed fizzy to me. I am not a Vienna aficionado, so take with grain of salt. But in my humble opinion, it’s a rare case of the mainstream Sam actually being better than the micro.

On the whole, a drinkable beer. Little bitter (hoppish) for a lager. Has more malt taste than normal lager also. Decent beer, nothing great. I agree that it is a good session beer."

In glass on tap. Excellent lager. This has some character to it with a rich golden hue and pleasant hop aroma. A touch more thickness than many lagers with a good balance. Recommended.

Very nice color and lingering head. Aroma is nice with maltiness. Taste is very good but with some coppery metallic aftertaste on the back of the tongue. Very nice hoppy finish.

On tap, this is an all around good and easy to drink beer. Well balanced with a decent amount of hops, has a slight honey taste. Pretty good lager from a great brewery

Dark ruby red body with large two finger head that dont last long. Aroma is of flolary hops, i thought the aroma were little weak. The flavor is mostly of flolary hops to, som maltiness are noticeble. The palate thin with fizzy carbonation. This beer is wery hoppy and not very balanced betveen malt and hops, but it has a nice flavor still. Dont drink it if you dont like very hoppy beer.s

On tap. Disappointing. Mild hop flavor, not much aroma, so-so taste. Decent lager but nothing special.
