COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2004 Bottle. Clear golden brown color. Light but flavorful body - no way I would call it "thin". To my untutored taste, a Pilsner-like hoppiness. A pleasantly bitter, lingering aftertaste. BUY AGAIN?: Definitely

Very excellent lager from someone who typically doesn’t enjoy vienna/pilsener/most lagers in general :) Excellent malts tasting of caramel, burnt sugar, and candy with a nice hop accent.

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2009 This is American, but rather delicious. Quite exquisite: perfumed, fruity, sweet, bitter. One of my favourite beers, but seems to have disappeared from here. Wretched shame.

Bottle/draft. Good broadly availiable lager in NYC area. Pours amber with a little head. Has a nice hop flavor. Good bar beer and very drinkable.

Healthy aroma of pine and citrus. Very orange and cloudy with good head. Taste of pine and sweet orange with a slightly bitter finish. Palate is medium body with good carbonation. Overall, this is a very refreshing lager, orange in both color and taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Although I prefer Ales to Lagers, this lager makes up for the lack in hops with its fruity yeast. Definitely a good lager from a quality brewer.

Bottle. Pours amber with a medium white head. Malty with a slight bitter hop aftertaste. Floral notes. Apparently its kosher ? Mazel Tov !

Bottle pour...lager glass. This beer is good. Aroma was full, nice, almost sweet, but roasted malt goodness to it. The pour was smooth, nice, with a darker tinged head that laced to the side of the glass as I finished it. Crisp, full body and flavor, with some hops bitterness that seems just right for this beer. Overall, a very good brew. I think I will have a glass Sunday night with our spicy, Greek marinated, bbq’d chicken.

I don’t really think Lager when I drink this beer, but is a nice (and fairly priced) session beer. Aroma is bitter hops with hints of honey. Appearance is a pale orange with minimal head. Taste is bitter on the front with a honey and malt finish. Palate is full bodied. Nice beer.
