COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

Amber color with a nice hoppy aroma. Nice malt flavor surrounded by bitterness. I didn’t expect this kind of flavor from a "lager" but I am pleasantly surprised.

This lager has a cloudy golden to amber appearance with mild floral aroma, small white head, moderate hops are present with a strong grapefruit flavor in the taste. Smooth going down with a carbonation bite at the end. Nice Lager, I enjoyed it better than the pilsner.

A fine beer and one that I think is underrated here, as are most clean, well made lagers. No this is not a double IPA or a monster Imperial Stout, but a well made, hoppy, crisp lager. It pours amber with a fluffy head that lasts and lasts leaving ribbons of lace. This sample was a bit old and so the hoppy aroma has faded a bit, but it is still there in the aroma and flavor- herbal and blending nicely with the maltiness that is the foundation of this style. Well done, and like Sam Adams, this one is better fresh, like most average alcohol beers.

Bottle. Pours deep gold with very little white head. A very aromatic beer with strong notes of hops, citrus and caramel. The body is quite fine and not overcarbonated. A long-lasting bitter finish. Nice one.

Excellent crisp, malt and hops. Good bitterness in the finish. Pours a dark amber, not much head in from the bottle. Very pleasant and easy to drink.

Clássica lager americana, maltes e lúpulos bem inseridos e equilibrados, cerveja pra tomar em grande quantidade sem dificuldade.

This must be over-rated or maybe this was better in years past. I was impressed by it’s color, it’s flavor was good but not exceptional, not worthy of being in the 70th percentile.

not bad. can't really taste any malt, and the hops are present but not overwhelming. amber-y with a creamy head. nothing fantastic, but probably a good session beer (i'll have to report back after i drink this one all night).
