COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

Poured from a bottle. Pours a nice clear amber colour with a thin off white head. Aroma is a nice caramel malt with some hops. Taste is nice and floral with a hints of caramel in the back, lasting hoppy finish to boot. Decent carbonation, nothing too overpowering. Very good beer, although not a lager in my opinion; more of an american pale ale.

På fat @ Akkurat. Bärnstensfärgad vätska utan skumkrona. Doftar sött. Söt blommig smak.

This quite a surprising lager as it was quite tasty, it wasnt too sharp or bitter and it wasnt overly carbonated. It was quite smooth and drinkable. Not really any lacing with small amounts of white head in the typical lager yellow. Bottle at thomas Ingoldsby spoons Canterbury.

Pours a nice copper-redish brown, with a nice head and good carbonation. Aroma of caramel and malt. A little hops mellow out the aroma nicely. Velvety, delicous mouthfeel, and a nice malty flavour with hops that does not pop out, but are well balanced. Definately the best lager i’ve ever tasted.

I bought this beer cheap at the local servo when I was visiting my mate’s house to make sausages. Basically it was nice and cold, but nothing flashy: just a good honest beer with hints of petrol and jack-hammer fluid. There was also a hint of tar to keep you rev heads out there interested. Plenty of upholstery in the finish, well hopped and palate fresh like Judas in a Valiant. Peace.

Pours a light amber color with one finger head. Not much aroma here, a little malt and a little floral. Taste is spicy hops with some lemon. Finish is dry and bitter. Biterness does not make me want to take another sip. Not my idea of a sessionable beer. I would pick it over the macros but probably will not seek this one out again.

A bit shy aroma. Great balance between hops and caramel in flavor. Smooth and tasy. Yummy. But is a Vienna?

You can smell the hops just as you open the bottle. The malts are present also but very subte. It looks great also, with a beautiful dark golden color. The taste is comprised of hops and malts, with a good but not too strong bitterness. It’s a very good beer, very flavourfull and balanced.

This is the only Brooklyn beer ive seen in my neck of the woods. And this is also the best lager I think i’ve tried. Beautiful amber colour, nice big head. Very malty nose, fresh sharp hops, citrus. Went down very easily, balanced quite well. Sharp and bright. Please send more of your beers to London!

Pours a very clear copper/gold with a nice white head that leaves light lacing. Not a huge fan of the aroma, very malty but also slightly skunky. Taste is a whole other story. nice malt notes, crisp and refreshing with enough of a hop balance that adds nice floral notes and keeps it from being overly sweet. After taste sours a little but is not terribly long lasting. Quality beer especially as far as the style goes.
