3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Lovely acidic, hoppy aroma, a little perfumy. Bright copper colour, unstable white head. Flavour starts off quite bitter, turning flowery and acidic and finishing with a nice bitterness. This beer is very nicely hopped on all levels.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle share with JF on Southampton beer up - 09/09/12.
Clear pale golden with a frothy off-white head.
Nose is pale malt and a little grain - not much doing.
Taste as nose with a little toffee and background citrus.
Medium bodied with matching carbonation leading to a dry finish.
Ok for the style but people are making much better lagers in this day and age!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A: The pour is a light amber color with about a finger of white head.
S: Starts off with quite a bit of toast and bread. Just a sweet malt profile overall. There are some floral hops and a mild grass note. The necessary lager yeast aroma is present, as are some mild esters.
T: Things don’t deviate much on the palate. Sweet toast and bread malt flavors with a bit of a toffee note. Minimal bitterness with floral and grassy hop flavors. A few fruit esters give a bit of depth.
M: Light to medium in body with a medium carbonation.
O: Sort of an ubiquitous beer on the East Coast, it seems. I found it to be pretty enjoyable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bright amber-orange coloru. Slightly chewy, caramelly aroma. Full body. Lightly toasty, hints of caramel. Clean. Fairly flavourful brew. Nothing terribly special in terms of either flavour or aroma but quite well executed and with enough body and nuance in its caramel/toast notes to keep things flowing. Nicely done.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Vintage Cellar. Medium dark amber color with a large frothy beige head. Aromas of malt and lightly spicey hop. Near medium body with near creamy carbonation. Flavor is light caramel, and a touch of citrus sour - which might be the hop. It doesn’t finish all that bitter, but it is well balanced. It’s a very tasty drink.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUL 15, 2003 Clear amber with medium of-white head. The aroma is sweet, floral, some bready. Taste is medium sweet, floral, some tart. Finish is light grassy and floral. Mild bitterness. Has a medium body -- readily drinkable, and a real delight. Great lager for an anti-lager person.
