3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 hopscotch (7526) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 22, 2003
Clear amber brew with a small, creamy white head. Good lacework.
The aroma is floral and malty with a hint of cocoa.
This lager tastes hearty, malty and well-hopped. Acetic, not bitter, hops seem to have been used. Excellent balance.
Light-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and fairly lively carbonation. Short, crisp finish. Like all other viennas that I've tasted, this beer would probably go very well with a meal.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 imdownthepub (7470) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 3, 2005
Bottled, pasteurised, Wetherspoons World of Beer Promo. Deep amber colour, white head, not over carbonated. Surprisingly decent beer, heady fragrant hops with a good chunky dry malt body. Long finishing late hops, a very enjoyable beer.

bright amber colour, moderate head, well-hopped, beautiful flowery and light buttery aroma, medium-bodied, slightly oily with a medium bitterness, the finish is dry with a flowery hoppiness - a very pleasant beer which I could imagine drinking on a regular basis (btw, this is a very free interpretation of a vienna imho)
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 MoritzF (7342) - Bochum, GERMANY - AUG 4, 2006
(bottle, 1 month past the BB-date) Hazy amber coloured effervescent hue with a short, slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly dusty and sweet buttery, resiny Bohemian-like malty aroma with herbal and slightly floral hops. Aromatic bitter hoppy flavour, crispy mouthfeel, well-bodied and balanced malty base with a slightly fruity and floral hoppy taste; quite dry and spicy bitter finish with an aromatic hoppiness. Rather inexperienced with American beers I find it very quaffable.

Blimey, a bit dark for a lager was my first thought until I came to enter the rate and discovered it is classed as a Vienna (my only previous Vienna being the "Mongolian Baadog). Any way, an intriguing ginger/gold colour, with a reddish tints. The aroma has dry bready malt with something a little sharp in the background. Much the same in the mouth, with orangey nuances. Sweet and sour finish. Not bad. Certainly better than your average lager. 355ml bottle from beersofeurope.co.uk
