3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
This beer should be labeled as an IPL as the hops over-power the other wise appropriate aroma and taste of a lager. Definitely not a Vienna style beer.
Once I got past the fact that this tasted and smelled like an extremely hoppy IPA, this is a very nice beer. The color was nice coppery but had the look of a hefeweizen with yeast apparent in suspension.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
My fav North American lager. You can pour it into a glass but I rarely do with this one. Straight out of the bottle you get the floral bouquet. Taste so crisp you can hear the crunch on your tongue. A lot of craft brewers could learn from this brew.

Clear orange beer, creamy off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet, fruity, caramel, citrus, lots of passion fruits, sweet overall impression. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter, pretty fruity, some caramel, bit sweet, grains. Aftertaste: nice and hoppy, some citrus, little sweet. Very nice Vienna style beer!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a bit short of brilliant clarity, amber with a thin white head. Aroma is Vienna malt, faint noble hops, light toast and overall a good display of melanoidins from rich German malt. Taste is complex German melanoidins, mild but firm hop bitterness from the noble hops, toast and a moderately dry finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours light amber to orange. The head is tall, but doesnít stick around forever. Still, definitely on the beautiful side of 3/5. On the nose, there are flowers, apples, citrus, candy, berries... even a hint of green unripe mango. Very very rich bouquet, in a lager no less. Iíve been smelling it for long enough now, letís give it a swirl. Up front, nice and very light roast with muted sweetness, followed by a smooth transition from orange to orange zest sprinkled with nuts before it finally leaves a long, tannic-bitter finish with warming, gentle alcohol behind. The mouthfeel is very gentle, with subtle carbonation that doesnít mask the complex play of flavors of this particularly beautiful lager. What a pleasant surprise this was.

11/27/2010. From bottle. Poured light amber color with a white head. A very nice lager with the extra hops. Good balance and very refreshing. Flavors of malt, hops and light fruit. Very nice.

Pleasant texture of close-to-creamy, darkish brown beer, nicely balanced between hoppy and floral notes, not too bitter, not too sweet, overall refreshing. Tried at Modern American Diner, Copenhagen.
