Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

355 ml bottle. Amber body, small head. Mildly hoppy and toasty aroma. Taste is caramelly with a notable toasty bite. The generous hop use makes it different from the European Vienna lagers that I’ve had.

Bottle. Copper brown pour with a small white head. Aroma and taste is toasted sweet malts with light floral hops. Palate is smooth and drinkable with just the right amount of carbonation. Uncomplicated but well crafted and very sessionable.

Clear amber. Medium carbonation. Fruity smell and taste. Balanced bitterness in the end. Probably one of the best lagers around!

Una birra davvero interessante pur essendo reperibile al supermercato, di un bell’ambrato con schiuma poco persistente ma decisa in bocca con un luppolato molto gradevole.
