COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

heavier body than a lager may generally represent, good full palate, and fluffy mouthfeel. mild flavor but good. I grabbed to have for my fishing trip, wanted a good lager out of the can and it fit the bill rather well. But the best beer (to digress) to have on a boat in the middle of a lake in the middle of nowhere canada, is a bell’s two hearted, bottle. Damn perfect time to have that beer.

Sampled in Boston. A pretty well made lager, fresh with mild hopping and malts. Drinks smooth. Has a hint of herbs that are nice and crisp. Very nice brew.

dark amber color with some malt aroma. mouthfeel is quite thin, but makes up for it in the taste. good amount of aroma hops with only a hint of bittering. certainly an excellent easy-drinking beer that provides some depth of taste. reminded me of a Samuel Adams Boston Lager, but would have to compare side-by-side to truly make a comparison

Bottle. Best by 4/10. Amber/copper, clear, white head. All malt- cookie, toffee, sweet caramel, toast. Just a touch of earthy bitterness on the clean finish. Light/medium body, balanced, easy. Decent session brew.

A solid American lager; pours light amber with a rocky, frothy white head. Aroma of piney hops and sweet malt; flavors are well-balanced between light and carmel malts. Straightforward and well-crafted, nothing fancy but pleasant.

Pours a clear, light copper color with a solid off-white head which leaves great lacing. Aromas of bread, light caramel malt, and subtle pine and grassy hops. The palate is medium in carbonation, light in body with a lasting finish. The flavors is malty upfront and ends with a pine-tree bitterness. Overall, the beer is refreshing and drinkable. There’s a good balance between the sweetness of the malt and the bitterness on the back end, and it’s a pleasing beer to look at. I wish the aroma was stronger and included more, and the pine-like profile of the hops is a bit cloying.

Nice deep amber pour with a thin off-white head. Mild floral hop aroma with some bread or yeast smells. Slightly hoppy with some notes of caramel malts. Pretty tasty overall and I’d drink it again, but I wouldnt go out of my way to get it. Nothing special.

Bottle. Pours dark golden with a medium white head. Flavor and aroma are very fresh and crisp, highly floral hops, some doughiness, spicy. A very tasty, refreshing lager.
