COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

A solid lager, one of the best with a decent distribution (which sadly doesn’t reach KS). A great session lager, malty and slightly thick on the palate. A nice hoppy zip. Tried with Nick at DMK burger in Chicago, 2012.

Very weird beer this one. Im not a lager drinker of any kind but make myself look foolish there but saying i love Brooklyn. Its nice rich almost fruit cake like smell/aroma. Bit of a let down in color but least its not "amber gravy" Rich full light slightly more of a smoke to it than a normal beer of its kind. Very nice bottled or on tap.

Very fresh, light, crisp, and satisfyingly dark. Basically all that the Nordeast vienna wants to be. Fresh aroma, albeit light. Amazingly rich aftertaste and a warm amber color.

Poured a clear brassy color with a moderate, sudsy cap of foam. The nose was of toasted caramel and floral hops with a small snap of citrus notes as well. The taste stated malty and clean with a hearty dose of toasted caramel and spicey, floral hop accents. The end brought a tea like hop character evening things. The feel was medium to light. A touch of copper sealing a well integrated mix of dry caramel and German hops in the finsh. A well made all purpose lager.

Puts many American lagers to shame. It’s a crisp, hoppy, smooth, brew with a slightly toasty aroma. Great brewery. Very solid beer.

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2003 On a warm Saturday afternoon in May, took one of those bikerides that took me a lot further than I probably should have went. During a much needed pit-stop, I enjoyed two excellently poured pints of this Lager accompanied by a heaping order of pommes frites with curry mayonaise. This is a filling and smooth, albeit pretty typical lager. Hints of toasted nuts and citrus. Hopsy, but not overboard. A little bite never hurt anyone. Good head and sweet aroma. Too bad the frites gave me indigestion on that long ride home! I've never been let down by a Brooklyn beer!

I drinkit all the time and never review it. So why not today? I picked up a six pack at Wegmans. This is a great lager. Not like what the macro breweries have done to the name. It has a really nice foral scent with a nice smooth malty and hoppy taste. Brooklyn has made one of the best lagers outside of Germany.

I hadnt had one of these in a while and was really pleasantly suprised at how great it was. Really full flavored, nice body. A little sweet and flowery nose with some malt. Just enough hops to keep it smooth and not too thick. Ill be drinking this more often.
