HazelRah (276), Summerland, British Columbia, Canada Apr 13, 2007 Sudsy white head, a lot of caramel in the flavour. Pretty sweet, but it settled in and by the end of the glass was alright. Faint yeast breadinesss.
Svesse (1920), Hässelby, Sweden Jan 5, 2009 (Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 2 Jan 2009) Copper colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit, caramel, toasty grain and fresh and floral hop aromas. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, grapefruit, apricots, dry grainy malt, slightly toasted. Fresh, floral hops in the finish. Really good balance in this excellent lager. On the thin side though, finish could be a bit longer. Still very nice beer. tarheels86 (266), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Jan 5, 2009 330 mL. Pours a light amber with a terrific beige head that sticks around completely leaving awesome lacing. Aroma of floral hops, lemon zest, and pale malt. Taste is bubbly with pale malt and floral hops. This is more like a pale ale than lager. Excellent! One of the best lagers I have ever tried. n49921 (92), USA Jan 3, 2009 Bottle/draft. Good broadly availiable lager in NYC area. Pours amber with a little head. Has a nice hop flavor.
