COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

WOW! This is one nice "lager"---it tastes more like a pale ale to me. Very nice to drink on a hot day. Thank you NEW YORK!!!

Bronze/copper colour with a slightly off white head. A nice whiff of floral hops - gentle but very forward. A nice sweet lager - hints of honey and beautiful malts. Floral hops also present. Good but not great density, nice light carbonation.

Drink cold (8°C) Eye: pours a golden to copper, slightly hazy colour with medium size but rapidly dissipating white head. Nose: hops, grass, spices such as coriander. Mouth: red and black currant, herbal hops, grass, spices and citrus fruit but not acidy. nice bitterness in the end. Palate: hops, grass, dark berries and nice bitterness. Overall: very good, hopy beer. best to drink on a hot summer day. Nice amber lager, not as good as Sam Adams Boston Lager though..

Pours a golden orange slightly unclear beer with a good white head. Smells fruity, malts and hops. Bit sweet. Tastes hops, malts, bit honey or caramel. Average carbo, thin body and a dry texture.

It has a nice look. Good thick foam. Caramell and honey aftertaste. I think it is a pretty good lager.

Drank straight from the bottle. Exhibited a slightly floral hop character coupled with some bitterness and minimal malt sweetness. Drank pretty good with BBQ. Clean finish and quite refreshing.

This is one of the beers that got me into seeking out a lot of new beer, and now here i am paying fucking $10 for a pint. Gee thanks. Anyways, a dark orange amber. Aroma is piney hops, taste is smooth caramel, mild bitterness and clean finish. A classic.
