Vas19 (211), Maryland, USA Apr 6, 2008 Pours a clear reddish amber with a thick creamy white head. Aroma is honey with a bit of hops. The flavor is malty with a nice little hop kick to it. Somewhat grassy on the finish. Pretty decent lager.
nqualls (175), Tennessee, USA Aug 26, 2008 12 oz bottle poured into a lager glass. Poured a clear gold with a huge sparse white head. Aroma was piney hops and some malt. Flavor is hoppy with a good malt balance. Medium bodied with average carbonation. PaulHegedus (21), Brampton, Ontario, Canada Aug 26, 2008 Bottle. I love that Brooklyn’s flagship lager is a Vienna and not a pilsner. The aroma on this is fantastic, floral with citrus fruit and fresh breadiness. Nice extra hop bitterness for the style makes it a vienna standout. I taste caramel with a strong, lingering bitter finish. The head is still strong half way through drinking it. ewestern (81), Ohio, USA Aug 25, 2008 Pour was golden with a white head. Citrus aroma and flavor. Some carbonation came through, I was not impressed by this at all. Found the beer to be little better than most macro brews. bhensonb (2855), Woodland, California, USA Aug 22, 2008 Bottle from Vintage Cellar. Medium dark amber color with a large frothy beige head. Aromas of malt and lightly spicey hop. Near medium body with near creamy carbonation. Flavor is light caramel, and a touch of citrus sour - which might be the hop. It doesn’t finish all that bitter, but it is well balanced. It’s a very tasty drink. 41cubs (22), , New Jersey, USA Aug 19, 2008 Pours light copper with frothy, here and then gone, just off white head. Smells like whole grains in the husk and taste very much like milled grains with a sugary tinge, reminds me of horse feed . Very raw flavors give way to a pleasing and full mouthfeel for the style. Lingering foul, stale aftertaste takes this rating down a bit. Pretty good though.
