COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Summer Ale is a modern rendition of the "Light Dinner Ales" brewed in England throughout the 1800's right up until the 1940's. They were also called "luncheon ales" or even "family ales", because they were refreshing and flavorful without being too heavy. We brew our Brooklyn Summer Ale from premium English barley malt, which gives this light-bodied golden beer a fresh bready flavor. German and American hops lend a light, crisp bitterness and a citrus/floral aroma resulting in a beer with a very sunny disposition. FOOD PAIRING Excellent with salads, seafood, quiches, and lightly spicy dishes. It's also great at a brunch. SPECS Style: English Style Light Dinner Ale Malts: Two Row British Malts Hops: German Perle and American Cascade, Fuggle, and Amarillo Alcohol: 4.5% by volume Original Gravity: 11 Plato

Numerous cans of this throughout the entire summer. Pours out a yellow color with a white head on it. Smell is fruity and pleasing with a nice wheatish aroma. Taste is crisp and smooth, extremely easy to drink. A really good canned alternative to BMC shit.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into my pint glass.

A: Golden amber color, very clear. 2 finger head that dissipated quickly, but clung to the side as I drank. Lacing retained.

S: Slightly hoppy and florally with some bread notes. Not too strong.

T: Light hops slight bread. Honey and citrus throughout, though more citrus. Slight hops linger.

M: Medium carbonation, light-medium bodied.

O: Decent summer offering. It’s refreshing and goes down easy. Label is eye catching in colors.

Blond and bland! Might as well drink Bud and invest the $ savings. Nothing bad, just not worth the calories.

There’s nothing *bad* about this perse, it’s just... empty. Almost flavorless, with hints of a malt backbone.
