COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Bottle. Cellared for at least one year. Much more settled down compared to a new bottle. Pours super hazy/cloudy orange with a huge pillowey white head. Aromas of spice, yeast, malt, lemon, orange peel. Yeasty taste with some spice, lemon and orange. Some nice bitterness on the finish, Well balanced palate. nice level of carbonation as well. I highly recommend sitting on this one for about a year if you have proper cellar conditions.

The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the Belgian yeast with some lemons, coriander and orange notes. The flavor is similar. I get some nice wheat and bread malt notes with some pepper and coriander as well as some Belgian yeast, orange and lemons. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Golden in color with a nice foamy head. The alcohol is nicely hidden in this one. I tasted fruit along with a little yeast here and there.

Flaske: Lysegul øl med et stort skumhoved. Meget sødlig duft, der lægger sig ovenpå en lige så sød øl. Alt for endimensionel og kedelig. Ikke rigtig Brooklyn klasse.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2011 Beautiful pour - orange/amber and cloudy with good head. The nose is really marmalade. Also, overall experience slightly better! Previous rating 7/4/8/5/14 3.8 750ml bottle. Pours a cloudy golden with a hint of orange. There is a very generous head and it falls back to a lovely half centimetre of lace which stays throughout. The nose has a base of lemon sorbet, then something quite quite herbal or medicinal on top. The taste is more towards lime than lemon and there is serious creaminess, maybe like a key lime pie. The palate has real depth of flavour and a creamy middle section followed by a fairly clean finish. Overall there o perfect with a tug-of-war between sweet, sour, bitter, sweet and spice that
