COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Courtesy boboski. Clear golden color with thin white head. Crisp floral aroma, a bit cornbready, but not bad. Slight dry finish, mild sour tang to it, with some yeast character in there as well. Thick, even mouthfeel. Alcohol well-hidden. Pretty low-key, but good. The aroma could’ve been more pleasing.

Bottle at KØ07. Dusty, buttery sour rag aroma, better than it sounds. Clear golden colour. The flavour seems rather like a tripel at first, but the hops are more pronounced.

Courtesy boboski. Pours a bubbly, effervescent gold, with a foamy white head. Smells of some clove, spices, nutmeg, and some pine as well. Very fresh smelling. Very sweet, big cinnamon taste. A little syrupy malts, but with some nice flavor. The sweetness makes me want to keep coming back for more. Great finish which is quite sweet on the lips.

750 ml. bottle. Very light and somewhat cloudy in color, and flavorful. Quite refreshing and left a good aftertaste. It reminded me a lot of Urthel Hop-It but not as bitter. Brooklyn seldom disappoints and this bottle was no exception.I just wish I’d picked up another bottle while traveling. Nice bottle design, too.

Bottle. Clear golden pour with a foamy white head. Spicy aroma - coriander, orange peel, light yeast, light malt. Nice aroma. Flavor is similar, very light with a spicy finish. Small amount of bitterness, subtle hoppiness. Fresh and clean on the palate. A nice beer, I’d like to see some more bottle conditioned stuff from Brooklyn Brewery.
