Pours a murky yellow with a nice white cap. Aroma is yeasty, spicy. The taste is of coriander and lemon zest. Alcohol is well hidden.

750mL purchased at Lueken’s in Dunedin at a very reduced price pours deep gold with copper hues and off white loose meringue type head. The aroma initially vague hoppiness with an undercurrent of caramel and the picks up some yeasty spices and a sense of dry fruity white wine. The taste is prickly due to the elevated level of carbonation giving me a mix of sweet ripe green apples, a sliver of sugary caramel and sugary white cookie frosting. Around the sweetness are various modest notes of muted spices.

Lemon yellow, just very slightly hazy from the bottle with a great standing head typical of belgians, everything in the style, belgian yeast tatste, citrus fruits, but very smooth with no big play from the alcohol.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20 DavoleBomb (965) - Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 18, 2011
Poured into a snifter. The cork came out surprisingly easy, which made more sense when I heard the massive POP! No gushing though, but the pour verified an aggressive carbonation.
4.0 A: Hazy golden color. Three plus fingers of hybrid creamy/frothy white head. Great retention and loads of irregular lacing.
3.5 S: Unfermented wort, loads of peppery spiciness along with clove and corriander. Grassy with a peachy fruitiness. Hops are grassy with a touch of flowery.
2.5 T: Again, unfermented wort. I not a big fan of drinking it when I brew my own beer and I certainly don’t want to taste it in a finished beer. This isn’t the only brew I’ve experienced it in, but it is the first that I’ve noticed it on the first sip. Corriander is the main spice in charge now with pepper and clove following behind. Malts can only be described as "worty" and any other description is inaccurate. Low bitterness, but it does its job to balance.
4.0 M: Medium body. Big healthy spritzy carbonation. No problems here.
2.5 D: This beer wasn’t executed well, but maybe Local 2 will be better.

Creamy lemon yellow in color and a frothy head. Curious aroma of corn tortillas and orange citrus. Flavor is your basic "yeasty" Belgian brew with some high carbonation. Overall its kind of reminiscent of Duvel. I’d drink this again...

750ml bottle poured into tulip. Pours a cloudy yellow with thick frothy white head. Floral yeasty aroma. Tastes like honey, fresh bread/yeasty, light boozy aftertaste. Delicious, and not too cloying.

Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010. Slightly hazy golden body with a small white head. Aroma is light malty with spices, citric fruit, yeast and some alcohol. Flavor is sweet, mild malty, fruity, spicy and balanced bitter with warming alcohol. It feels surprisingly easy drinkable to be at 9% alcohol, still quite complex.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Allara (148) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 25, 2010
Pours hazy orange in color. Nice thin, long lasting head. Notes of orange/citrus in the pallet. Smooth, a bit malty but very well balanced. A great American brewed Belgian style ale.
