Feb 20, 2009 Great "plop" when opening the elegant bottle. Cloudy, golden beer with huge white and lasting head. Aroma is complex and great: flowers and fruits, peppery spiciness, yeast and coriander. Flavour: flowers, tangy, orange, and peppery spiciness. Slippery, "easy", nice carbonation and warming hint of alcohol makes this beer nice to drink. Brooklyn Local 1 is refreshing, complex and spicy beer.

Feb 19, 2009 Sampled at a beer and food pairing with Garritt Oliver. Poured yellow golden color with white head. Aroma was lemon, yeast, and spice. Medium mouthfeel. Flavors followed the nose and was very much in line with a typical strong belgian ale. Overall a nice brew.

This pours a cloudy yellow color with a big foamy white head. Tons of carbonation in this beer! Aroma of orange peel, lemons, and fruity yeasts. Flavor is a sting of yeast with some light malt sweetness. There’s a hint of alcohol in the finish along with some fruity grape-like notes. Not a whole of lot of risks taken here, but a pretty standard tripple.

Feb 16, 2009 Pours a cloudy light orange with a nice white head. Aroma of wheat, citrus, honey and malt. Nice malty, citrus, spice and yeasty taste -very solid Belgian. Won’t go wrong with this one.

Feb 16, 2009 Yellow golden color with one finger white head. Nose is belgian yeast, candy sugar, spices and fruit. Flavor is hoppy, sweet malts, apple and yeast. Great palate and easy to drink.

Feb 16, 2009 Clear golden yellow with much carbon dioxide. Nice cloudy and smooth white head. Aroma is nicely belgian style: malty, fruity, yeast and spices. Flavor is slightly banana-like, yeasty, spicy with a bit apple and alcohol. Palate is smootlhy carbonated, medium-bodied and a bit alcoholic.
