COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

With me not being a Belgian fan, I like this one, surprisingly. Typical Belgian color, aroma and taste, but more tolerable than others to me.

[Bottle] shared by someone at WtWBA ’10. Okay, this one is going to go against the grain on this one, but it was truly a terrible, terrible bottle of beer. Pours clear light yellow with a huge, lasting rocky white head, looks pretty decent so far. The aroma is funky and yeasty, light grain, heavy solvent, buttered popcorn, bandaid, and the smell you get near an extruder when it’s blending polymer, or maybe something like a hot glue gun while in use. The flavor is just nasty harsh solvent, plastic, bandaid, and that’s about all I could write down before I washed it down with the 3L Consecration that Randall brough. Undrinkable.

750 mL bottle. Hazy, golden-orange with a huge, rocky white head that sticks like crazy. The aroma is orange ju-jubes, dried grass, booze, toffee, and a little spice. The flavour is less sweet, which is good. The fruitiness is still there, as well as a grassy-grainy maltiness, candy rockets, and the spice. Booze is well hidden. Dryish finish. Nice body. I really like this one.

Poured from a 750 ml corked bottle. Deliciously fruity, hazy golden Belgian style ale. Crispy mouthfeel, lively carbonated. Harmonized with Gouda cheese. Grows even more fruity and tasty as temperature stabilizes with ambient. Truly amazing.

Pours a golden yellow with a nice white head, decent retention and lacing. Bubbles race to the top throughout drinking. Warm, boozy, smell with more fruits than spices and herbal hoppiness. Taste resembles the nose. Warm alcohol taste that is sweet up front and bitter to close. Very good for an American made Belgian.

Pale with huge head. Aroma hops, metallic. Taste sweet fruity, bitter hops, notable alcohol. Medium body, high carb. Finish strong alcohol

750 ml. bottle. Pours a thick lasting white head, with heavy lacing, over a slightly hazy golden (SRM 5) body.....nose is light spices, including cardamom, clove, tiny bit of spearmint....taste is light fruits (pear, apple) with a bit of allspice, finishing with a pleasant pepper bite, which lingers lightly.....mouth feel is light, carbonation high throughout. This seems to fall on the Golden Strong side of the Golden Strong, Triple divide, but it is very close. The beer either way is quite well done. There is spice is aroma and flavor. The fruits and spice are present in both nose and taste. It was well done. BJCP 8/3/15/5/8
