COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Bottle 750ml @ home
Pours cloudy deep golden with a long lasting white head. Aroma has notes of malt, dried fruits, yeast, alcohol and orange. Taste is medium sweet and light to medum bitter with a long warm dry and fruity finish. Body is medum, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

750 ml "champagne"-corked bottle, shared at local tasting, thanks to Sigrid S. ABV is 9%. Pale golden colour, large white head. Sweetish and spicy aroma, some stale notes. The flavour is better, spicy notes, not too sweet, very drinkable.

(Bottle) Pours golden with a medium sized white head. The aroma is of white pepper-like spices, some phenols, herbal/earthy hops, candi sugar, grape skin, citrus and white bready malt. The flavour is light sweet with candy sugar on the finish. Nice and spicy Europa-ish bitterness. Some grape acid notes. Dry bready malt and some citrus also present. The mouthfeel is quite creamy and round with a perfect carbonation. Spicy, light earthy and citric finish. Medium bodied.

The first mouthfull didn’t grab me, but this beer certainly grew on me by the end of the bottle.Big white thick head, has a lot of clove and spice in the aroma. An effervescent mouthfeel, with more esters and also good pilsner type malt flavour to back it all up. the hop character is not obvious, just holding everything together. Big thanks to Brandon @ the Old Spot for this little chrissy present.

A lovely drop from Brooklyn. Pours a turbid light amber with minimal foam. This beer boasts a lovely aroma of fresh fruits mainly pear and an earthy yeasty character. Being a high gravity beer there are alcoholic notes but these have been well concealed and balanced by the brewer by their choice of grain bill....overall very nice.

Pours a cloudy light orange with a tall frothy white head. Aroma is yeasty with notes of orange, banana, vanilla and spices. Taste is also yeasty with fruity notes and spices leading to a dry finish with a mouth feel of alcohol. Quite nice.

Xmas present from Dan. Gold, very hazy, very good and thick head. Aroma is unmistakable Belgian with the taste having light spice and citrus to it, yet clean. Lots of carbonation and the finish has a bit of bitterness. An enjoyable brew.
