Commercial Description:
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

From bottle at Salone del Gusto 2008. Cloudy golden, small white head. Spicy and fruity aroma, quite a bit of coriander. Good fruity flavours blending with coriander. A solid, but rough NY tripel.

This one poured a golden orange color with a big foamy white head that recedes slowly and leaves spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma is of sweet citrus fruits, malts, some hops, and spices. The flavor follwed suit with citrus fruits, malts and cinnamon spices. It had that nice strong ale flavor with the belgian yeast in it. The body was medium with the right amount of carbonation and smooth spicy finish. This was easy drinking with some good sweet flavor to it. Nicely done.

Lots of bready aromas off this 750 ml bottle. Some fruit and more yeast on the flavor. Malty sweet with a very nice finish. Good stuff.

(Bomber served in trappist glass on Nov. 7, 2008) Poured a murky and dull orange yellow, razor thin head formed, stayed throughout the partaking of it, and laced. Aroma of yeast, malt, and various dark and sweet fruits. Hits the mouth with a low-medium body, malt is pleasureable but is immediately overtaken by what I would call the "Starburst effect"- nice fruit sensations everywhere! Finish refuses to quit, definately one to share with friends and let them experience it. Good stuff maynard!

Pours a cloudy dark yellow with a thick frothy white soapy head. The nose is strong with sugar and spice, citrus, hops, and caramel. Strong citrus, caramel, spice, hops and a nice smooth finish. Palate is thick and buttery sweet and smooth. A fine beer.

Thanks 17thfloor! Pours a hazy pale orange color with a creamy white head. Aroma is sweet with orange and plum fruitiness. Definitely some spiciness but mostly sweet. Flavor starts with some strong spice on the tongue. Becomes sweet like overripe fruit and finishes with a mild bit of bitterness from the hops. Medium body and lively carbonation. Nice belgian that is well balanced.

Pours hazy golden color with white head. Yeasty aroma with some citrus. Similar flavors with lots of yeast and tart lemon. Lith to medium body with lively carbonation and a crisp finish. Very nice.
