COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Bottle @ the HotD dock sale... Poured golden with a beige, foamy head. Malty with spiced yeast esters on the nose. Wheat malts, grains, hops. With a light fruit, tangy finish.

Smells spicy and fruity, bananas. Appearance, big strong head, murky golden peach colour. Beautiful palate, is smooth but not extremely interesting for a beer of this character. Very complex fruity flavours with lots of spice. Reminds me of a super strong and flavourful Leffe Blonde. Good brew.

31/10 0.75 l bottle courtesy of ogivlado, huge thanks for sharing! It poured hazy golden body with bigger head. Nice belgian yeast aroma, strong and cloying, consisting mostly of banana and orange, but some other fruits and spices as well. Flavor was even better, yeasty and spicy with finest honey and vanilla malts. Fruity in the orange, other citrus and apricot way. Full in body with tasty long, slightly sweetish finish. Very well made, typical belgian style blond ale which I enjoyed a lot!

Bottled 750ml. -Cloudy orange/yellow coloured, medium to big white head, spicy fruity nose. Lively carbonation. Very fruity (orange and apricot), yeasty and spicy (mainly coriander) with notes of vanilla. Alcohol is discreet, just mild touch in the finish. Typical, decent and enjoyable BSA.

Hazy blond coloured beer with small white head and few carbonation. Hoppy fruity aroma. Full palate bit wattery. Finish is bit yeasty hoppy ending bitter.

0.75l - Looked the part, gold color shown brightly, nice head. Smelled the part, yeast, hops and malt. Palate was missing something, that sour, berry fruit hit Belgian signature.

0.75l bottle that ogivlado shared with me and heavy (thanks!)
Poured a hazy golden body with a thick huge, very thick white head that went away quite slowly. Fine, typically Belgian nose, bubblegu, agrumes, dust... quite nice, and the same goes for the taste. It’s a nice fruity Belgian ale with the typical spicy lightly agrumey notes on a fine sweet chewy maltiness. Very light hoppy bitterness. Some carroty notes near the end detract a little. No real alcohol in my opinion. A good Belgian strong.

Poured a hazy murky yellow with massive white head. Smelled of hops and yeast. Tasted of cinnamon, coffee and bitter chocolate. Alcohol isn’t apparent. Easy to drink.
