Jun 6, 2008 Pours a hazy gold color with a white fluffy head that doesn’t last long but leaves a good lacing. Spicy, malty aroma with a hint of hops. I had to let this warm a bit to really appreciate the flavors. Malt, spice, citrus and hops. Very tasty.

Jun 3, 2008 Brooklyn Local 1 is a clear yellow beer with a very pronounced white airy head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of alcohol and some strong typical belgium wit characteristics. The flavor properly mimics the aroma with a very nice and spicy finish. This is a fantastic beer.

Apple pear, peaches, coriander, oranges, alcohol and a very aromatic pepper...
Palate: 3/10
Zesty, medium body, lite bitterness and sweetness but well balanced and long lasting, dry finish.
Flavors: 6/10
Citrus, peaches, orange zest, coriander, light pepper...
Notes: Very interesting fruity brew...

Jun 3, 2008 Bottle (750ml) shared at ’Biegaman’s Second Annual Saison Tasting’ -- courtesy of biegaman. Pours a clear gold with an average size semi-lasting foamy white head. Aroma of grain and fruit, a bit grassy and with a hint of sourness -- just O.K., I’m not crazy about it. Slightly boozy flavour with grain, a bit of sweet fruit, light grassy hops and an average bitter finish. Medium bodied. Decent but not really to my liking.

Jun 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours a golden body with a fluffy white head. Aroma is spicy yeast, farmhouse saison funk. Flavor starts with a strong malt backbone then gives way to the subtlies of the yeast and spiciness. A score for something so readily available.

May 26, 2008 Light golden color, with a full head of lasting foam. Authentic Belgian smells, with some light fruits, yeast, farmhouse. Flavor has nice balance, with a delicate sweetness and finish. An ale of high quality.

Aroma of bread dough with some spice and a hint of lemon. Sun kissed yellow body with a white head. Spotty lace. Flavors include bread dough, pepper, lemon peel and spices - maybe a bit of all spice, paradise seed. Drank while bottling my saison =)
