Spicy, malty aroma with a hint of hops. I had to let this warm a bit to really appreciate the flavors. Malt, spice, citrus and hops. Very tasty. mgoy (343), Oak Brook, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 3, 2008 Brooklyn Local 1 is a clear yellow beer with a very pronounced white airy head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of alcohol and some strong typical belgium wit characteristics. The flavor properly mimics the aroma with a very nice and spicy finish. This is a fantastic beer. french tickler (642), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 3, 2008 Bottle (750ml) shared at ’Biegaman’s Second Annual Saison Tasting’ -- courtesy of biegaman. Pours a clear gold with an average size semi-lasting foamy white head. Aroma of grain and fruit, a bit grassy and with a hint of sourness -- just O.K., I’m not crazy about it. Slightly boozy flavour with grain, a bit of sweet fruit, light grassy hops and an average bitter finish. Medium bodied. Decent but not really to my liking. Rciesla (3565), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours a golden body with a fluffy white head. Aroma is spicy yeast, farmhouse saison funk. Flavor starts with a strong malt backbone then gives way to the subtlies of the yeast and spiciness. A score for something so readily available.
