COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Wish I had taken notes. Tasted after drinking some Unibroue so my memory is fuzzy... Similar to Seigneuriale by Unibroue but slightly warmer going down, the alcohol is hidden until you feel it traveling down your throat.

Presentation: It was poured from a 1 pint, 9.4oc brown corked and caged bottle into a tulip glass. The number 0719 is printed on the back label. I am not sure if that is a bottle number, batch number or a date. Appearance: The pour produced an average sized (two finger thick) head with a creamy off white color. The head slowly fades down to small ring of slick lace. Underneath the head is a light golden honey colored liquid with a hazy appearance and streams of tiny bubbles rushing to the surface. Smell: The aroma is full of fruity, estery yeast, sweet malts and some light, funky phenolic notes. Taste/Mouth: Up front it has candy like sweetness with light tropical fruit notes, some pear, apple, and light malt as well as some funky phenolic notes. In the middle it starts to dry a little and we add some mild warming alcohol and mild spicy/leafy hops to its malty character. It finishes much dryer than it started but still with some residual sweetness mixed into mild hop notes. The palate is full and lively with plenty of carbonation. Notes: Overall good appearance, flavor and a fun lively palate make this an enjoyable beverage.

750ml bottle split with barrios, scottyp, curly, and mmmckay. Pours a lightly hazy yellow gold with fair white head. Nose of lemonbread and hints of alcohol warming in the background. Flavor is suprisingly sweet, like candi sugar, vanilla, earthy hops, alcohol, oak. Body is medium chewy with a good effervescence. Finishes with a dry semi-tart lemon note. Cool bottle, great beer, terrific price.

Pours a clear golden with off white head. Aroma of yeast, apples, light hops, citrus. Similar taste, very sweet up front into a dry spicy finish, interesting.

Hazy beautiful gold color with a smattering of bubbles across the chalice. It smells fruity like fresh cut apples, and also yeasty. The taste is immediately delicious with sweetness and then an odd spiciness with a full creamy texture. This was my first taste of Brooklyn Brewing and it was very tasty.
