In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Very nice and impressive long-lasting foam. It is classified as a strong ale, but the flavor is very similar to a Belgian triple. The aroma is lemon peel, pear and banana, and it also has a slightly sweet malty aroma of light caramel seasoned with coriander. The taste abstracts slightly from a typical triple, it tastes sweet. Fast surpasses the taste for a light sweet light caramel, spicy Belgian yeast, apricot, a little honey, sweet summer fruits like ripe, pear and blood orange. A little bit spicy aftertaste of pepper and coriander. Carbonation is probably the most surprising in this ale for the look does not seem not hard carbonation, but in the mouth awakened a lively icing to life and contributes to a surprising cascade of all the aforementioned flavors. Hop bitterness is very moderate and keeps only just life in the edge like this ale must have before fruit flavors and caramel flavor becomes too dominant. The alcohol is relatively high, but contributes only to finish with a small marked peak flavor. In its entirety it reminds a bit like a Duvel, but just a little more smoothing of its flavor elements. Really elegant strong ale with dry aftertaste.

Bottle 75cl shared by Calisky. A cloudy copper orange beer with low head and no retention. Nose is on ripped fruits such as apple and quince. Aroma is on mandarin, ripped quince, low body, less complex, light belgian yeast, high carbonated, spicy on coriander, not clean, oranges, very disappointed.

Alaranjada escura, espuma branca de fácil formação e duradoura. Aroma adocicado, maltado, um pouco de acidez do fermento (só fica bom acima de certa temperatura) . Paladar alcoólico, aveludada, dulçor lembra a mel. Corpo médio, carbonatação média. Aftertaste de média duração, caramelizado, maltado, muito bom de beber. Só acho que ficou devendo no aroma, aparece somente acima de 15°C

750ml bottle. No production date available. Appearance: Light golden, slightly hazy, thick frothy white head. Aroma: Spicier than normal Belgian yeast, with the normal fruity esters of apple and pear. Bready, wheat malt aroma with a hint of lemon zest. Taste: bready malt sweetness with clove, apple, and pear. Mouthfeel: medium body with a high carbonation and soft but strong alcohol warmth. Finish: Bready malt lingers with pear esters. Overall: Nice BGS. Yeast a little spicier than normal but balances the rich malt. Strong fruity esters, and alcohol is smooth instead of biting.

Bottle pours hazy gold with thick white head. Citrus, bubble gum, banana, fruity esters, cloves, wheat, spices. Moderately bitter and sweet. Medium bodied. Moderately crisp, but with creamy undertones. Other than a little too much acidity, a fantastic blonde.

(Brooklyn Local 1) Bottle 750 mlcorked and caged at home, served into a tulip, ABV 9% Opens with a loud pop, the cork goes flying and somewhere downstairs, I guess the vacuum cleaner wll get it. Light gush, nothing to worry about. Bright golden yellow colour on the body, crystal clear, huge and thick white head, with average retention, leaving spots of lacing on the glass. Fruity aroma with light apricot, peach, some yeast, light citrus, fresh straw. Nice taste, again some yeast present, citrus, apricot, light peach, grass, straw, some hints of spices. Medium thin body with good carbonation. A well done example of a belgian strong ale.
