4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours hazy golden with mid-lived white frothy head, beautiful lacing. The aroma meets the nose with scents of fresh pineapple, cloves, and white pepper. The malts are dry and faintly nutty up front, whereupon the pineapple note unfolds its brightness which cuts through the peppery spiciness; the fruit note makes a transition from fresh pineapple and citrus to mild banana, a note which stays with the finish while the yeastiness, white pepper note, and alcohol linger. The bitterness overall is very contained, balancing out the brightness overall. The carbonation is very lively, which accentuates the fruit very nicely. Brooklyn Brewery succeeded in capturing the Belgian spirit in this bottle.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
@ Party Source / Bellvue - Cloudy golden amber with a thin head cover, light streaks of lace. Yeasty malt with strong carbonation moves smoothly through the palate to a bittersweet finish with light citrus and spices. A very easy drinking ale that doesn’t give away the alcohol. Not the best example of the style, but quite drinkable. Recommended.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Shared a 75cl bottle with some friends in a beer tasting night. Pours a lightly hazy golden colour with a big fluffy white head. Aroma is malty, lightly hoppy and yeasty. Average carbonation and medium body. Taste is more sweet than bitter with a bitter finish, but very light. Overall, a very balanced beer but missing a bit of taste.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
So I poured this into a tulip glass and it does the amazing rising head trick. That’s pretty rare. Light, golden and very hazy, there is myriad of bubble production exactly as in champagne, only the head retention borders on exorbitant. The aroma is quite layered and rich with moisture alcohol and fruit but there’s also something funky in it like old pissed pants. The flavor doesn’t really hit the tongue until a bit into the swallow as the bubbles and the alcohol get there fist. The fizz creates a smoothness and the flavor is locked in as you swallow. Usually it changes some. Pretty good, though the ratings on here have it much higher than I thought it was worth. First beer rating in 2 years.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
"Lightly hazed golden pour with a massive white head which is sustained leaving huge amounts of draped lacing. Good carbonation throughout. Soicy Belgian yeasts aroma: very slight banana, black pepper, and slight anise, then sweet malts and a light floral/honeysuckle nose. Great aromas. Taste is moderately spicy, with a Belgian yeasty forward flavor, light banana, spices, lovely maltiness, good balance for a big beer and super flavorful.

Malty Ale with a clear finish, nice foam head, the aroma bears some resemblance to that of a saison.

Slightly yeasty, followed by a warm bready maltiness and a subtitle hop bitterness. Bright and effervescent. Yes! I’d have another!

The starting beer of an international beer appreciation afternoon. Consumed with copious quantities of cheeses and spicy deli delights. Recommendation is spot on, a refreshing complementing beverage
