COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

750ml bottle. Cork shoots out like an ass dart. Murky amber/golden pour. Smell is citrus zest, buttercream, biscuit, and spice. Flavor brings notes of raisins and rotting fruit, still with that frosting like/ marzipan sweetness, dryer finish. Interesting.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a light hazy orange colored body with a nice foamy slightly lumpy white one finger head, some nice foamy lacing graces the sides of the glass. The smell had the Belgian yeast up front combined nicely with clove, banana and lemon. The taste was sweet with the previously mentioned flavors combining nicely. On the palate, it sat about a medium with nothing harsh on the tongue. It leaves a dry finish and a crisp sweet aftertaste. Though the ABV is fairly high, the drinkability is pretty good. I have no problem being able to finish off the rest of this bomber within a session. Overall, I would say this is a pretty good beer that I’d probably come back to.

Lovely banana and bread flavors with citrus notes, smooth and very easy to drink despite the high alcohol levels. Very nice beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a nice golden haze with an airy thick white head which retains well in a Trappist Glass. Aroma is lemon, orange, hay, banana. Taste is banana, lemon and orange citrus and zest, some caramel malt notes, bread. No spice like a lot of belgians have. Very carbonated on the palate but it ends up being pleasant. Overall a very drinkable interpretation of the style, but no mind blowing flavors or depth.

(bottle) pours a hazy golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of powdered sugar, light kiwi and caramel, with notes of brown sugar and lots of talcum powder. flavour is mostly the same, powdered sugar, cardboard and yeast, with a hint of kiwi, herbal hops, more talcum powder, barnyard and a medium sweetness. medium to heavy-bodied with average carbonation.
