In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

An OK offering and a little under-impressed. Malty and sweet aroma with a hint of Belgian yeast. Dark golden color that appeared effervescent. Medium weight and crisp palate. It had smoothness. Nice blend of flavors that ranged from caramel malt, slight hop bitterness and spice from the yeast. It had a slight boozy presence as well and seemed to be a blend between a Belgian strong and a tripel. Nice but they have better.

After the cork almost took off my head, the beer pours a hazy yellow with a foamy white head. Has a citrus, wheat, yeast, and spice aroma. Aroma is more subtle, with citrus, spice, and a touch of bitterness. Has a full body feel and goes down smooth. Pretty enjoyable.

Pours hazy golden with a large white head. Smells lightly fruity, hints of bread and yeast. Taste is fruity, mild citrus, hints of spice. Full-bodied with a slick texture and average mouth-carbonation, Brooklyn Local 1 finishes a lingering hint of Belgian-like spice.

Bottle from Systemet. Nice champagneplopp. Pours a cloudy golden amber with a persisting white foam. Highly carbonated. Nice aroma with banana, citrus and bread. Sweet and sour in the first taste with a nice hoppiness in the palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Riktigt bra.

Pours a cloudy straw yellow with a thick off white head that holds up nicely in a glass. Head settles to a steady half a finger that stays to the last sip. Smells of slight citrus and hops. Starts with sweet malt and citrus and ends with a nice hoppy bitterness that leaves the pallet rather quickly. Very well balanced between malt, German hops, and Belgium yeast.

Bottle at Piccadilly, Bodø. The colour is cloudy dark straw with a medium, off-white, creamy head. The aroma is sweet with hay, pale malt, Belgian yeast and some citrus and spices. Rich and sweet flavour that mirrors the aroma and the Belgian yeast is dominant with a touch of marzipan. Rich and soft mouth feel, and has a light to medium bitterness. A rich and sweet ale with a nice spicy touch. Well-balanced.
