In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Dark golden color with a tall, thin, white head. Combines a lot of dubbel and triple qualities; there is brown sugar, which is balanced by dry white wine flavors. Hints of figs, dates, plums.

Bottle from SuperBest Ama’r Foodmarket, CPH, shared with Niller - golden pour with a thin white head. Sweet fruity, yeasty, wheaty, grassy, banana, subtle floral and medium spicy notes on the palate, very easy drinkable for the abv. Very good.

Barnyard aroma’s mixed with sweet fruit. Paler than expected, deep yellow with a huge white head. Sweet plums quickly followed by a bitter. licorice taste....compliments well. Light mouth feel with lively carbonation. Finishes with a dry bitterness.

750ml bottle. Cork shoots out like an ass dart. Murky amber/golden pour. Smell is citrus zest, buttercream, biscuit, and spice. Flavor brings notes of raisins and rotting fruit, still with that frosting like/ marzipan sweetness, dryer finish. Interesting.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a light hazy orange colored body with a nice foamy slightly lumpy white one finger head, some nice foamy lacing graces the sides of the glass. The smell had the Belgian yeast up front combined nicely with clove, banana and lemon. The taste was sweet with the previously mentioned flavors combining nicely. On the palate, it sat about a medium with nothing harsh on the tongue. It leaves a dry finish and a crisp sweet aftertaste. Though the ABV is fairly high, the drinkability is pretty good. I have no problem being able to finish off the rest of this bomber within a session. Overall, I would say this is a pretty good beer that I’d probably come back to.
