COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Pours hazy gold with a large, rocky white head. Yeasty, spicy aroma with a good bit of citrus. Very light fruit. The yeast takes over the front end of the palate: dry mustiness. White fruit and citrus come in mid-palate. The beer ends on its only off-note: a sort of scorched sugar flavor clashes with light earthy hops and spice.

750ml bottle - Pours golden with a big bubbly white head. The aroma is of citrus, yeast, mild hops and pale malt. The flavor has a great balance of bready malt and moderately strong hops. It’s medium bodied and lively on the palate. Delicious.

Bottle. Pours a hazy, light orange with a massive head of fluffy bubbles and an aroma of fruit and spices with perceptible abv poking through. Peaches, pears, white pepper(?) in the nose. Flavor isn’t quite as nice as the ABV hits a little too hard and buries some of the nice things that were going on in the nose. It’s not what I would call "boozy," but more like astringent or something like that. It’s a shame since the aromas made it seem like there would be a lot of complexity across the palate.

Spicy, estery complex Belgian Tripple-like aroma. Grassy (in a good way) light hay, mild apples, pears, and pepper all exquisitely balanced. Bracing finish with blast of delicate bitterness. Absolutely masterful, as near to perfection as can be.
