Commercial Description:
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Magnum: Dah Bums have Impressively presented this here beer wit a tro-back bottle. Nose is nuttin grand yet whispy spices arrive an’ let chew know dat it’s a belgin style brewski. So far so gud...hey Tony! Semi hazy gold in dah glass. Legs are patchy and droopin. Body is surprisingly lite. (Great taste...less filling!) Mouthfgeel is balanced with some spice and a lingering pleasant aftertaste Ayyyyy!. This "bottle refermentation" has left no traces that I expected in the bottle. "Hey!’ D’yud take kare uh dat ting?? Duh Foist ting or dah secund ting? Dah Foist ting Yah dumass! Juh Caint take kare uh dah secund ting till the foist is outa dah way! ! ! ! ! The 9% is hidden pretty well...Just like bodies in the East River. Tony? Hmmph ...yew wont be sieein him round ere no more.... Heh. ees just a memree. Crap sounds like this brew has infected me with Brooklynese.

Appearance :Gently hazed golden ale with good creamy white top.3+
Nose :Citric, sweet gain , refreshing aroma, some yeasty strikes.
Flavour/Palate : Mildly carbonated. Pleasant yeasty with soft grain set up. Sour hints at finish. Very pleasant ale , its potency well groomed. Alcohol only found to be drying at very finish.

Bottle: Pours a clear golden color with a white head. Aroma, light fruity notes, strong yeast notes that border on a slight funkiness, with some bready and floral notes. Flavor, light funk, floral, yeasty, with a medium carbonation.

Hazy golden and a white head. Nose is very fruity and has yeast. Also little peppry. Flavor is sweet malty, peppery and flowery. Fresh and little dry finish.

Bottle shared thanks to xnoxhatex at Andrews Bachelor Party. Pours a cloudy yellow with a tall white head. Yeasty banana aroma with hints of clove and spice. Banana citrus and yeast flavors that are sweet and creamy. Decent beer but certainly not exceptional.

Pours with a pale golden body topped by a white, quickly disappearing head with little lacing. It’s slightly sweet with a note of clove and a yeastiness, as well as, an underlying bitterness in the flavor. Medium bodied, smooth yet warming.

To echo other reviews, nothing special here, straightforward Belgian style attempt. The bottle I had seemed to have oxidation problems.

A fairly straightforward Belgian style by a US brewer. With some sugar. Yeast, quite secondary spice. Strong carbonation. Drinkable although nothing extraordinary.
