Commercial Description:
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Pours a clouded straw gold with a huge white head. Nose is strong with yeast and a sugar tone. Just smelling it brings back memories of all the great Belgian brews I have had to this point in my beer journey. Flavor is superb. Put this in a plain bottle and no one would know it was out of Brooklyn I am willing to wager. Smooth and even sweetness with a noticable yeast influence. So well balanced and smooth. Unbelievable. Feel is as good as everything else has been to this point. Smooth and with a great level of bubble on the tongue. Drinkable to the worlds joy and detriment. I immediately just wanted to go back and get more.

Golden and hazy with nice head retention and lacing. Aroma is herbal and floral with citrus and sugar. Flavour is full of citrus and herbs with a light undertone of sugar and malts. A touch thinner as it finishes. Touch of spice as it warms. Yeasty throughout.

bottle. Pours a clear golden body with nice head. aroma is of spices, banana, cloves, yeast. Flavor is smooth, perfumed spices. Nice palate. Really reminded me of Duvel, in fact I think it would be hard to decide which is which in a blind tasting.

Yellow straw color with a hugh billowy off-white head. Lots of effervescence present. Floral hops and light malt present in the aroma along with some lime and dust old barn scent. Somewhat interesting, but nothing really caught my interest. Effervescence everywhere in the palate, that makes the thickness seem to float away. Slight Duvel qualities, but not the finesse. Citric hops bite in the middle and lead to a dry herbal bitter finish that also has a dusty pollen-like character. Linger returns to some pale malt. Quite assertive at times. Lots of things to keep the mind occupied, but not enough pleasant ones to make it truly pleasurable.

Bottle at LCRBM3. Hazy gold with thin white head. Lovely tangerine aroma. Supposed to be a saison. Light, blond, wheaty and refreshing. Not overly aggressive.

Bottle from DocLock. Drunk 5/28. Yellow color with big head. The flavor and aroma was mainly of fruity bannans.
