COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Bottle at bottle share in Boca Raton, FL. Small snifter. Pours a hazy yellow-light brown with a thin white head. Kind of a Belgian yeasts aroma with a little funk (maybe slightly infected??) Also some fruit and cereal on the nose. The taste was also a Belgian meets a little funk. I’m not sure if it is supposed to be slightly funky or not. Dry finish. Moderate carbonation. Not my favorite.

750ml Bottle from Utobeer, London (£12):
Sweet with pear & apples, a fruity aroma & some light base malts. Faint citrus, plenty of spice & some touches of floral on the nose as well with a slightly tart like aroma & some faint yeast.
Golden with a thumb-sized, foamy white head that holds great, sitting as a thick, 0.5cm, white lacing that still looks foamy & leaves a little lacing on the sides.
Spicy with various fruits that includes the apple & pear from the nose along with some banana & further sweetness from some pineapple plus yeast & citrus. Finally there is some light malts and a hint of pepper.
Light & fluffy on the palate but definitely not thin. Dry with plenty of spice plus the alcohol went almost unnoticed with it completely hidden by the taste for the most part. This one was frighteningly easy to drink for a 9% abv. beer & it went down a treat with and amazing balance that complimented the smooth mouthfeel and fine carbonation.

An amazing beer and one that definitely lived up to the hype and the price tag for once. Ridiculously easy to drink given the strength of it & was up there with some of the best Belgian beers of the style that I have tried in the past. This one is a must try and I look forward to sourcing a bottle of their Brooklyn Local 2 sometime soon.

Barnyard aroma’s mixed with sweet fruit. Paler than expected, deep yellow with a huge white head. Sweet plums quickly followed by a bitter. licorice taste....compliments well. Light mouth feel with lively carbonation. Finishes with a dry bitterness.

750ml bottle. Cork shoots out like an ass dart. Murky amber/golden pour. Smell is citrus zest, buttercream, biscuit, and spice. Flavor brings notes of raisins and rotting fruit, still with that frosting like/ marzipan sweetness, dryer finish. Interesting.
