COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Sampled at the Kick Starter Fund Raiser at the Humboldt Cider Works in Eureka, CA to help fund their new tasting room. Poured a cloudy golden color with a small but lasting white head. Nose of yeast spices and some fruit. Medium body. Smooth mouth feel. In the flavor citrus appears and the Belgian yeast dominates right into the finish. Easy drinking and really good,

Barwa: złocista, początkowo klarowna, po dolaniu lekko zmętniona. Piana biała, średnio, a następnie drobno pęcherzykowa, słusznej wielkości ładnie oblepiająca szkło. Aromat: wyraźny alkohol (rum) z całą gamą estrów owocowych (z brzoskwiniami i cytrusami na czele). Nieco korzennych i lekko pikantnych nut z ożywczym aromatem kwiatowo- ziołowym pochodzącym z chmielu. Smak: słodowy, pełny i słodki.

Corked bomber into Trappist glass, hazy amber tinted golden color with white head. Aroma of deep bready malt, honey, fruity (apples, pears, orange, lemon), white pepper and lightly herbal. Taste adds notes of grain, citrus zest, dried fruits (figs, apricots), banana, clove, light funk, tart with faint grassy hop bitterness. Medium body, moderate carbonation, lively with light citrus-leaning fruitiness lingering. Nice fruity Belgian strong, very good.

Aroma is grapefruit, citrus, lemon grass and apple. Taste is sweet light malts, honey, biscuit, plum and apple. A bitter hop profile arrives fairly quickly and is balanced nicely with the maltiness. Appearance is a slightly hazy straw body with a fluffy pearl head that retains fairly well.

Bottle from Systembolaget. First beer with a champagne cork which actually opens by the pressure of a bottle fermented beer. Pepper and banana nose. Golden body. Quite a bit of white head. Sweet with some bitterness. A tiny hint of sour taste. Medium body and carbonation. Fruit. Raisin, ripe apple, some peach and pear and a very slight hint of lemon flavour. Very good.
