COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

750 ml bottle into tulip, no bottle date. Pours hazy golden straw color with a fairly dense 2 finger white head with good retention that reduces to a thin lacing cap that lasts. Some nice lacing clings around the glass as well. Aromas of lemon, pepper, spices, banana, light tropical fruits, and some bread. Some nice and balanced aromas with good strength. Taste of big lemon, tropical fruit, banana, pepper, spices, grass, clove, bread, and other light fruitiness. Finish is fairly dry, but not too dry. No bitterness on the finish; but there are lingering notes of lemon, bread, spices, and clove on the finish with a bit of a yeasty tang as well. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a fairly prickly mouthfeel that drinks very smoothly and is slightly creamy. Alcohol is very well hidden with a warming on the finish that is hardly noticeable. Overall a fantastic Belgian strong pale, fantastic balance and complexity.

Golden yellow with white head. Full-bodied taste, smooth mouthfeel. Strong taste and smooth finish. Good belgian style ale for America. Extremely well balanced. Excellent before and after warming.

Nice belgian style ale. Yeasty aroma, some citrus. Duvel-ish looks. Big head dissapeared quickly. Good and extremely well balanced. Weird, the more I have, the higher this scores. Genuine belgian from the US

Bottle number 1437. Pours cloudy pale gold, with a massive, pure white head that leaves big lace all the way down the glass. Aroma is sweet, floral and lightly spicy with some fruity notes. Flavor is fruity and peppery, with significant alcohol notes. Finish is spicy and slightly phenolic, with more peppery notes. Body is suitably light.

Thick, white head with fine bubbles - thin lacings on the glass. Some aroma of bread, bananas and maybe melon. Appearance is dark yellow haze. Lots of fruit: bananas, apples and pear in the flavour. Fairly pronounced hop finish.

Gorgeous pour. Cloudy saison body, golden and delicious with a tight white head. Lemony aromas leading into a slightly spicey hop. LIght and well intergrated candi sugar entry gives way to lemon custard body that cleans up quite nicely on the finish. Well hidden 9%, the drinkablity is dangerous. I would say this beer is the happy medium between Triple and Saison. Seems a little underrated here.

Very, very impressive beer. Pours a brilliant hazy gold, with a head that doesn’t last long at all. Lots of citrus on the nose. Taste is so smooth and drinkable and not very carbonated. Definite tastes of citrus, dominated by grapefruit, and other zests. perhaps a little bit of vanilla lingers in the after taste. Will buy again very soon!
