COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Bottle at LCRBM3. Hazy gold with thin white head. Lovely tangerine aroma. Supposed to be a saison. Light, blond, wheaty and refreshing. Not overly aggressive.

ACBeerfest-bottle-pours a white head and cloudy yellow color. Aroma is clove, yeast. Taste is clove, yeast, wheat. Too much biting clove. Good effervescence.

very belgian of them the "research" with the brewers from chouffe is very apparent. nice pale golden color frothy head. spicy earthy aroma. prickly but viscous mouthfeel. sweet and spicy and fresh. the spice presence may be too overbearing although i get hints of candy. the brew taste a bit bland in the aftertaste. overall still a good beer. but it makes me wish i had a chouffe

Non l’ho capita; questa linea "belga" di Brooklyn ha lasciato veramente poco, speriamo spariscano dalla circolazione.

A Sim rate (tap at Heartland Brewery, Union Square): It’s that infectious kind of hops aroma that just jumps out at you! It’s fresh summer. It’s cut grass. Very nice head and lacing. It’s everything an IPA should be. Malty and so freshly hoppy. Delicate after an initial serious assault. Very impressed.

IVE HEARD NOTHING BUT GREAT THINGS ABOUT THIS BEER AND THE BOTTLE BEING SIMILAR TO A CHAMPAGNE BOTTLE IS VERY APPEALING . JUST GOT IT FOR THE FIRST TIME AND THOUGHT IDE POUND DOWN THE WHOLE THING TO THE HEAD, AFTER POPPING IT OPEN I RELISED THAT THATS NOT HAPPENING. THIS BEER IS A CLOUDY YELLOW WITH A SOAPY HEAD. ITS FULL OF FLAVOR MOSTLY A MALTY AND SPICY ROOT VEGTABLE, KINDA LIKE A SPICED CARROT, NOT OVERPOWERING LIKE SOME OTHER BEERS IVE HAD THAT ARE SIMILAR TO THIS ONE (MOST NOTLABLY LA FIN DU MONDE THIS IS LIKE ITS LIGHTER VERSION) NOT MY FAVORITE FLAVOR FOR BEER DONT GET ME WRONG THIS IS GOOD JUST NOT MY STYLE ( IM NOT BIG ON CARROTS). GREAT FOR FOOD PAIRINGS A LITTLE MUCH FOR CHILLING WATCHING THE GAME.

A well made but unexpectedly strange brew. Perhaps slightly more inspiring than a typical 10% strong beer, but still has strange combination of very alchoholic taste in a whit beer body. Not really my favorite kind of beer.

750 ml. brown, corked & caged bottle. No freshness date seen. Weak pop releases the cork. Pours out a medium golden yellow color, with a thick, soapy, white, lacey head. Clings to the sides of the glass like crazy. Aromas are of peaches, strangely enough, along with some Belgian funk, slight cloves as well. Flavors are of sweet malts, some citrus, cloves, and yeast. Very lively & carbonated. Decent body, medium mouthfeel. Finishes slightly astringent & has clove aftertastes. Ok beer overall.

mike guessed wheat wine, i guessed landbier, we were btoh semi-wrong. this had a lot of german malt but a lot of grains and earthy, perfumey flavors to it. strong as hell though, we were both feeling it.

750ml bottle: Muted gold pour with a frothy, cream head. Lemon cream pie aroma is packed with lemon, graham and caramel. Grassy and earthy easters follow. A stale, muted malt note rides above the body, putting a real damper on this for me. As the beer warms, the staleness spreads to the nose as well. Hmm, a good beer that is flawed.
