COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

0.75l - Looked the part, gold color shown brightly, nice head. Smelled the part, yeast, hops and malt. Palate was missing something, that sour, berry fruit hit Belgian signature.

This is a really nice belgian strong ale with a goof bit of carbonation from the bottle fermentation and alcohol. Nice sweet candy flavors with a bit of yeastyness.

Pours a hazy gold with thin white head. Aroma is fruity and fun. Flavor offers some tartness.

750ml - pours hazy yellow gold with white head and nice lacing. Nose is roses and yeast. Aroma is ??? (the sweet ingredient used to make dxm bearable). This reminds me of a lighter don de dieu. Hides the alcohol well. Subtly tasty and impressive.

Bottle thanks to Owen. Pours a cloudy orange with a rocky brilliant white coloured head. Aromas of floral honey, yeast and soft spices. Flavours are quite sweet with an earthy dry finish. Medium mouthfeel. Nice beer.

Pours golden with a big white head with good retention. Smells of honeysuckle and spring flowers. Taste of rich spices, ginger especially, honey, and orange. Flavors are rich, after taste is very nice. I very much enjoy this beer, and I can enjoy it slow for a long time.

From 750 ml bottle. Pours a nice orange-yellow, and cloudy. Lots of white head on this one. Nose is of fruit, particularly of raisins. Taste is of bread, yeast, more fruits and raisins, and a bit of honey. Taste lingers. Very pleasant mouth feel. Nice one!

750 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget and consumed on January 26. Pours golden with a huge frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving some trace on on the glass. Smell is slightly sweet and packed with yeasty esters from the Belgian yeast, orange zesty, hay and hints of barnyard. Taste is sweet and malty with figs, coriander, yeasty esters, hay, grass and lemon zest. Finish is dry and vinous with some funk.

An Americanized westmalle tripel. This beer has a very Belgian character but washes down like a true American ale. The aroma is hoppy with hints of caramel, much like the taste. A creative American version of a Belgian pale ale
