COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Fra flaske på Tap1 mai-13: syrlig/brett preg med kompleksitet og ekstra sødme. En meget passabel hyllest til belgiske tradisjonsøl.

Bottle from total wine sterling. Pours orange with an inch or two of white head. Leaves sticky lacing on the glass. Nice yeasty perfume on the nose. A bit fruity and dry on the tongue. Solid for style.

Aroma of sour belgian ale yeast. Slightly sour taste balanced with sweetness. Belgian taste, but with an American twist.

From a 750 ml bottle, light golden brown, sightly hazy, aroma of caramel malts, coriander, light spice, sightly cloying alcohol and a long bitter finish.

Mycket metallisk doft o smak. Jäst ligger fortfarande kvar i smaken. Ingen öl att rekommendera!!

Golden with a thick, active, meringue head and moderate lacing. Nose with lemon, spice, and butterscotch notes. Mildly-carbonated, smooth mouthfeel, followed by a lemony, yeasty, peppery, overripe banana, green grape, Satsuma finish. The high alcohol percentage is barely noticeable.

Yellow gold with a very light haze. huge fluffy head that seems to last. Aroma is mild citrus rind leaning toward orange with a mild spice on top (coriander?). Taste is dry white grape and pear and there is that spice again. Tastes like coriander, but feels like cinnamon? Nice beer.

Good scent. But gee what flavor. Strong and tough. I did not think about this ale. But good to drink anyway.
