Somewhat reminds me of a Belgian Tripel. Does have a bit of barnish/basement funk. Bready on the tongue, with a fairly strong floral flavor profile. A little astringent, and not as clean as Belgian examples, but still fairly decent. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. Quite spritzy, with citrusy barnyard like finish. Definitely comes across as somewhat of a Belgian Tripel. Not half bad, and certainly better than may oher examples. Thanks Brian for the trade!

Golden with a thick, active, meringue head and moderate lacing. Nose with lemon, spice, and butterscotch notes. Mildly-carbonated, smooth mouthfeel, followed by a lemony, yeasty, peppery, overripe banana, green grape, Satsuma finish. The high alcohol percentage is barely noticeable.

Yellow gold with a very light haze. huge fluffy head that seems to last. Aroma is mild citrus rind leaning toward orange with a mild spice on top (coriander?). Taste is dry white grape and pear and there is that spice again. Tastes like coriander, but feels like cinnamon? Nice beer.

Good scent. But gee what flavor. Strong and tough. I did not think about this ale. But good to drink anyway.

Pours a lightly hazy golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of orange peel, coriander, fireworks fumes, and mustiness. Flavor of spicy yeast, earthiness, light citrus, black pepper, and mild hops.

UPDATED: APR 29, 2013 På ølsmaking med Garrett Oliver. Gylden ravfarve med hvitt godt skum. Aroma av gjærbakst, honning, rosin og humle. Frisk med middels honningsødme og god kullsyre. Tydelig honning, men ikke for søt. Tydelig alkohol. (Den Gode Nabo, 28.04.13)

Where to start! what an amazing beer. This is almost as good as any belgium beer that i have had from any of the abbey. same robust flavor full of hops and complex notes and depth. a must try for any savvy beer drinker

Bottle - Brown sugar and yeast. Light gold thin head. Effervescent banana, honey and Belgian yeast. Heavy on the fruit, nice if you like the style.
