COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here in Brooklyn we’ve combined European malt and hops, Belgian dark sugar, and raw wildflower honey from a New York family farm to create Brooklyn Local 2. Our special Belgian yeast adds hints of spice to the dark fruit, caramel, and chocolate flavors. After 100% bottle re-fermentation, this ale reveals a marvelous dry complexity, enjoyable by itself or at the dinner table.

Cork popped on it awesome fashion. Make sure you open one of these outside. Dark ruby red brown pour with a fizzy white head. Aroma was dark candy like malts, a big Belgian yeast character rounded it off. Flavors were fruity yeast, dark sweet malts, light orange citrus. Mouthfeel was overly fizzy, tingly. Nothing stand out here, although it was a decent brew. Left a lingering sweetness.

Deep brown or mahogany in color. A very foamy tan head. Flavor is strong, with malts and a bit of fruity sweetness. Some apple, citrus, spice. Strong finish and the alcohol is not hiding at all.

Pours brown with some red and orange flecks. Very large, frothy off white head that leaves a few small patches of lacing throughout. Aroma is yeast, bread, orange rind, clove and other spices - feel like I also pick up faint notes of plum. Flavor is bready with dark fruits, some citrus peel and definite spicy notes to it. Liking how it opens up closer to room temp. Would like to compare Local 1, but I enjoyed it.

750ml Bottle brought back from my trip to Maine. Pours out cloudy amber/brown topped with a sand head. Aroma was sweet pit fruit, caramel, brown sugar, light spice, and some rich malts. Taste was more of the sweetness but a little hop bitterness on the end to help try to balance it out.

Bottled@Kaisla, Helsinki. Slightly hazy ambery brown colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is mild zest, quite strong on the malts, mild spices as well as some slight notes of syrup. Flavour is being quite similar with some dark dry fruits as well as mild yeasty and toasted notes.

By far the best beer I have had from Brooklyn Brewery. It has a strong, but not overwhelming taste with a nice bite at the end.

Poured into my Koningshoeven glass, this is one beautiful beer. Dark brown with an inch of creamy light brown head. The body is very yeasty with a very nice sweetness.
