COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here in Brooklyn we’ve combined European malt and hops, Belgian dark sugar, and raw wildflower honey from a New York family farm to create Brooklyn Local 2. Our special Belgian yeast adds hints of spice to the dark fruit, caramel, and chocolate flavors. After 100% bottle re-fermentation, this ale reveals a marvelous dry complexity, enjoyable by itself or at the dinner table.

I was pleased on first opening because the cork released with a resounding "thunk"! It pours dark brown with a fluffy, soft off-white head. It has a bready. malty aroma with a grassy background. The taste is mildly sweet followed by a hint of finishing bitterness.

Slightly hazy ruby brown pour with a persistent creamy white head. Faint lavender aroma mixed with slight caramel malty notes. Creamy small bubble mouth feel with a sweet aftertaste.

Giusto assaggiata all’O Connor dal bicchere di Gian di Ruta; un mattone incredibile, tipico dolcione indigeribile

Brooklyn Local 2 Caged & corked, 750mL Brooklyn bottle. Aged. (1017, 1st batch). Cloudy dark reddish brown color, white head. Aroma of spices, fruit, mostly banana, some licorice, toasted grain, honey, and a touch of alcohol. Flavor of caramel, heavy on the burnt sugars, licorice bitterness, some peppery spice. Sharp carbonation of big bubbles. Not as smooth as Local 1, although I prefer the darker malts. Kinda boring, I might go for the Local 1 before trying this 2 again. 01/12/2011

Hints of citrus and honey in the taste, this is one of my favorite Brooklyn beers.

Mappazza inverosimile, era tanto che non bevevo qualcosa di così difficile da mandare giù, fortuna che ero in compagnia.
