4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
This was a very nice beer in that it has all the spice you’d expect. However, the cane sugar was just a bit too much for me. Much prefer the local 1.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
750 ml bottle. Pours a sediment-filled orangeish-reddish dark brown with a short lived white-beige head. Aroma is roasted caramel, dark fruits. Flavor is some fruits, coffee, figs, roasted sugar. Finish is dry, very dry. Some tartness. Cannot detect any bitterness, and neither can my tasting partners. Light body, watery mouthfeel, weak carbonation. Sort of disappointing.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dirty brown pour with an off white head. Aroma is yeasty with dark fruits and caramel. Flavour has the same yeasty notes with lots of dried fruit, light cocoa, and sweet, but not cloying. Very tasty and hides the alcohol well.

Bottle shared with Josh @ local gastropub. Pours a nice deep and dark amber color as you hold it to the light. Aroma is dark fruit, citrus, spice, caramel. Nice smell. Taste is good too. Can't tell it's 9%. Smooth. This is a good beer.
